Emphasizes new diagnoses and updates to old ones.

Written in the first person about his experiences in a psych ER. That having been said, it is entertaining, and puts the listener on a fast track to being able to handle the transition to DSM-5/ICD10 - now dimensional and no longer multi-axial. Good appendices with clinical interview and various diagnostic tools. Emphasizes new diagnoses and updates to old ones.

The audiobook to provide useful access.

The Kindle version has no index, and no text links, so you are unable to review the content of the audiobook or to jump to another section of the audiobook or print out any forms for that are only available in the paper copy. This is a significant shortcoming of this audiobook's formatting for the electronic version for that reason I would again only buy this as a paper edition and forget it on the kindle unless they update the audiobook to provide useful access.

Well worth the price of the audiobook!

Every diagnostician and their students should be required to have this in their office. I would give my students the vignette only and let them explore the DSM 5 before giving them the rest of each chapter. I also found the cases treated in settings other than my own, as well as the permission to use them well worth the price of the audiobook!

It's great for those who are beginning.

I work with a lot of people with mental health problems and this audiobook comes in gready handy. It's great for those who are beginning to work with this population or you can use it for reviewing. Good review of DSM V and case studies. Could be a good study guide for national exams as well as good information in working cases.

Provider I like to have audiobooks for references.

As a Mental Health provider I like to have audiobooks for references. This an easy guide and has good clinical examples. I shared the case studies to teach and learn during case studies. Thanks It was as advertised. I should have bought a hard copy. It is hard to use on the Kendal format because the information covers several pages. Again good information, as advertised and delivered at a good price.
