Summary

The 33rd Grand Battalion of the Iron Warriors, newly raised and seeing battle for the first time, have the honour of the primarch himself, Perturabo, leading them. But the Hammer of Olympia is there for more than just battle - he is evaluating his new officers and deciding their fates.

And with a force of Imperial Fists allied to their cause, Perturabo sees the perfect opportunity to teach his new warriors the difference between the stone of the VII Legion and the Iron of his own.

Short but sweet

While the story is very short and I could not recommend someone spending a full credit on it. I would recommend this (during a sale) to any fan of the IV legion and their primarch as it is one of their better portrayals by black library.

Good solid audio drama

Overall very good, you get a feel of how it is to be a space marine in Perturabo’s legion, his coolness, his stoic personality and his ruthlessness with those who displease him. A tad short but comes across very well thought out, perfect when you have 30 minutes to yourself.

WTF

20mins is that it, what a complete and utterly waste of money. Honestly not worth it and gives no real insight

A Short Story

As a multimedia product it’s great.

But it’s another example of poor value for money from Audible. For the same price in credits you could get a full novel of 13 hours. They really need to stop selling these short stories for 1 credit. 0.3 credit would be more appropriate.
