Summary

Bad boy Colt Stone has a notorious reputation for being a tough and dangerous heartbreaker. A brutal childhood hardened him to the idea of any type of emotional attachment to anyone. When he becomes the unwitting accomplice in Jade Morrow's escape from an abusive boyfriend, he soon finds that he'll do anything to keep her safe. Has Colt found the one girl who can break through to his impenetrable heart?

Well................no

This book was well-written, no grammar issues, but the characters were blah, the story line a little over-blown and the female lead was such an idiot! The hero was a drug dealer with no redeeming qualities except for beating up the bad guys, and didn't turn out to be an undercover agent as I had hoped for, just a drug dealer. The narrators did a decent job, but I will avoid the rest of this series.

Hot Brothers!

Colt was definitely a bad boy but in a good way to Jade. Good book. I am interested to find out what happens to the other brothers and if Jade and Colt stay together. On to Hunter's story!

Can't wait to get to the next book

Loved this series. It was so exciting I didn't want to go to bed, I wanted to stay awake and listen to the entire series. The narrators were both wonderful. I'd listen to just about anything Mason Lloyd narrates!

I couldn't listen

Filet is pronounced Fee-lay not fi-let. It's French. I tried listening but that kept bugging me so bad I stopped.

Forget "DNF," this was "CNF" (Could Not Finish).

I lasted until around 2 hours in, but it was just TOO much. Awful. Blech.

Irrisistable bad boy brothers and their hijinks.

All in all a good read. The story was well written and a fun with some steaminess, however...the girl just HAD to play the martyr card toward the end, Grrrr. Tess Oliver has to learn that volume and chaotic exclamation are not a viable substitute for action and emotion. Either way I will read the next two books in the trilogy to find out what happens to all 3 brothers.

Okay Story. Good Narration.

Any additional comments?

This story was okay. It had a little charm to it even though it was mostly ridiculous. If I hadn't got it for $2.99 I would have been disappointed. It was cheap enough to turn in to a guilty pleasure listen. The female narrator was alright most of the time. A few times I was annoyed by her voice. The male narrator was great. There's something about his voice that makes an okay character seem like more. He was the best part about this book.

Left Me Stone Cold

The premise was good. The execution was lacking. Hot button issues not addressed correctly, leaving parts unrealistic and so unbelievable it was difficult to sink into the story. Dual narration was good - definitely made this a better listen than read. But in the end, it just left me cold.
