Summary

Are you looking to create a part-time job that involves passive income to add onto your current salary? Do you aspire to become a profitable trader, quit your job, and gain financial freedom? Or are you already an investor and simply need a few pointers to help you boost your confidence in the choices you make when investing?

Well, then you’ve come to the right place! The stock market is a very cost-effective approach to bring about passive income and gradually step closer toward financial success.

It is incredible how much wealth can be accumulated investing in the stock market. However, it is even more fascinating to see that average investors lose money in a year cycle. Why? Because the stock market is profitable only if you know the right strategies with the right mind-set. It goes without saying that investing money in the stock market without any knowledge is equal to playing the roulette or the lottery: It’s pure gambling!

This audiobook was born from the idea to create a crash course that could help a beginner avoid common mistakes and get a foot on the market without falling. It is not a secret that the best investors apply different techniques than those who are struggling. The aim of the audiobook is to spread the right information and to give a proper overview of what works and what does not work when investing in the stock market.

During the course of this audiobook, you will learn:

  • What the stock market is and why it is a gold mine for those who know what to do
  • The most important terms in a simplified dictionary
  • Seven standards a stock needs to meet to represent a good opportunity (very important)
  • The power of leverage and how can investors help with small capital
  • The difference between fundamental analysis and technical analysis
  • Ten common mistakes made by beginners and how to avoid them
  • The right way to diversify a portfolio and why it is important (not what you think)
  • How to set the right mind-set through daily routing to become an intelligent investor
  • And much more

So many people leave their fortune in the hands of an expert. By doing so, they are missing out on astonishing profits they could earn by following the right strategies this audiobook provides. Seriously, you can earn much more than what a mutual fund could guarantee you!

It is important to note the audiobook does not offer "get-rich-quick solutions". Easy money does not exists, especially at the early stages. However, by studying the material provided and applying it diligently, it is possible to successfully get started in a matter of weeks.

As you can see, there is a lot to discuss. Do not worry, everything will be explained with simple terms and an easy-to-follow structure.

Informs what NOT to do. Good for beginners.

The narrator was very monotonous and I found myself dozing off most of the time, however if you are able to concentrate he gives you the basics of what you need to learn and the overview of the stock market. The most important chapter is where he defines all the terms.

Very easy to listen and understand.

The way he kept things brief and concise really helped me stay engaged. They were short chapters and didn't make me feel like I was going to listening to a super long and technical book. I like how each section was brief, explained the concept, and provided an example then moved to the next topic.

Thought this was a great beginning book on investing. Wish I had seen it 40 years ago. In fact, I'm going to recommend it to my college-age kids. It could help them to be more like.

The book is fast but loaded with gems of wisdom.

I have over 30 years of trading stocks, options, and futures. I still am very glad I listen to this book. The book is fast but loaded with gems of wisdom. Even though it is intended for the beginner, an experienced trader will still pick up some valuable information.

very insightful

I’ve always been interested in the stock market but found it very confusing. This book provided clear, easy explanations for a beginner. I’ll definitely be purchasing his other books!

Easy to understand.

I looked for the magic book or software that would tell me how to make money without losing it only after I jumped into that pool of emotion called the stock market. Mistake. I should have listen to this one first.

Interesting and quick spells.

I received this as an advanced copy, and upon scanning through the contents, I immediately recommended it to my wife, as I had not been able to find something at the beginner level. All the books I had were way too advanced for her, so this was an ideal primer for someone with absolutely no knowledge of the stock market.

A great book for getting started. You won't be Warren Buffet after this book, but a lof basics and understanding how to limit risk when getting started is invaluable.

The book is definitely a great

This review is a follow-up, after official purchase, to an earlier review of an advance copy of this book. Author gives the beginner a good general overview of the stock market and whets his or her appetite for learning more. The book is not intended to be a comprehensive statement or step-by-step manual. It places more emphasis in some areas, such as value investing than other areas, like day trading. The book is great for a beginner that wants to get started in the stock market. It teaches you everything you need to know in simple steps and give you even some strategies that are for more experienced traders. However, it falls a little short, as it can be hard for a beginner to fully understand what is going on as it lacks graphs and it only touches on some topics and further research is needed to learn more about it. But the book is definitely a great starting point if you are just getting started.

Overall a good place to start.

This book covers a number of different strategies that a beginner could use as he starts his investing career. There are many links in the book with useful information and sites that the author uses himself to invest. This is a relatively quick listen with little fluff. If more in depth information is needed the author provides his contact information and a list of other books that go into more detail of the strategies provided in this book. Overall a good place to start.

This is a wonderful overview and reference.

This is a wonderful overview and reference for the market as a whole. It is an easy listen with very clear explanations of the daily terms that we hear on the news about the "market". It also describes the basic 'why' of the market and how to easily get started.

The book is practical

Matt has put together an outstanding reference that I will keep close at all times. The 5 commandments are tattoo worthy. Lot of executable concepts, particularly in a bull market. listen his other books and videos regarding Bear market strategies, which are great as well. The book is practical, explain with a vocabulary most will understand. Thanks so much, Matt, for sharing your wisdom.

Author has explain a great starter book.

Author has explain a great starter book for understanding the stock market. He helps you understand the basics of the stock market; buying and selling, price spreads, finding a brokerage, and placing an order. He explains liquid vs. illiquid stocks and how aftermarket hours can impact your order. I especially like the chapter explaining the major index, including ETF (exchange-traded fund) and how a person with a small account can still participate in the major stocks.
