I love this character, his little descriptions of people when insulting them are so funny and just crack me up, he’s a character I can really see in my mind and can’t wait for the next one. Well done J D Kirk, keep em coming

What a great character Hoon is. Brash, obnoxious, violent- but in a way we can all identify and sympathise with. He feels so real, which is a testament to the great writing and also the perfect narration of Angus King, not just for his Hoon voice but for Iris in particular, plus the King in this case and so many others. Just perfect, I hope there are many other Hoon tales to come. Laugh out loud funny in parts.

Every time I listen to a Hoon book I say it's the best yet...and each new book is even better!! This one is a more complex story but with Angus Kings amazing voice acting and JDs writing its a laugh out loud festival. Keep them coming please!!!
