Gripping story, narration not so much.

Gripping story from start to finish. Alas the narrator's inflections became irritating. Buy the book.

Intriguing insight into North Korea

This book was recommended by an assistant in the local book store. She mentioned that the author had visited N Korea so I gave it a try. Wow- what a great listen, very well narrated and a brilliant story. The characters and plot are very well thought out and dovetail perfectly with the political, cultural and social climate in North Korea over the past few decades. I was horrified to learn how the Kim dynasty imposed its rule on the country and its inhabitants and all credit to the author for his research and portrayal of this tyrannical regime. High recommended , entertaining as well as eye opening.

A good story spoilt by poor narration

A good story but the intonation of the narrator was very distracting and irritating and some of the power of the writing was lost.

Great insight ....

...into the secret world of North Korea. Good listen and story based around what seems to be some well researched facts.

Loved the story, narrator with poor inflection

Brilliant story full of suspense with well thought out characters and plot. The inflection of the narrator was irritating at the start as every sentence was read as a question. Soon got hooked and forgot about the voice though!
