Summary

Ivy Wilde, the laziest witch in the West, is still entangled with the Hallowed Order of Magical Enlightenment. That's not a bad thing, however, because it gives her plenty of excuses to spend more time with sapphire-eyed Raphael Winter, her supposed nemesis. And when he comes knocking because he needs her to spy on the latest series of Enchantment, she jumps at the chance.

Hanging around a film set can't be hard - or dangerous - right?

Loving this series!

Really great series, fab character and great narration.
The cat familiar is particularly entertaining!

Better than book 1

Story better than book 1, but the narrator's accents are atrociously bad! It's a shame really as it is probably loads better reading the physical book!

Totally different

I came across this series by accident and never regretted it! Funny and serious together. Gareth and his sheep are a bit silly and I think she could have found a better plot device or done it slightly differently and occasionally the dialogue is out of character. However it's possible to overlook it in the overall enjoyment of the story and the brilliant narration by Tanya Eby.

Terrible Scottish accent

Good story what with the terrible accent. One time it sounds Irish then Indian . Please stop trying to copy Scottish peoples accents . You need to listen to genuine Scottish people.

very funny

I love this series, the main characters are great fun. The only negative is the narrator's attempt at a Scottish accent!

Enjoyable ish!

The accents are so bad! But I did enjoy the story and will probably listen to the next in the series.

very enjoyable & better than the 1st book.

since I'm not a native speaker, the accent doesn't bother me much, and I was able to focus solely on the plot. I think this has a better plot than the first book. it is more interesting now because we know the characters better. Love the dynamic between Ivy, Winter & the cat. Off to the next!

Love this series!

I’m new to this author but have been really enjoying this series! The first book had me laughing out loud, this one didn’t so much but the story was better. Now straight on to the next and to check out all of her other books!

Story great. Narrator wrong for the book

This second book in a trilogy is equally as good as the first. Great storyline and likeable characters. My only complaint is that for a story set in England and Scotland, with English and Scottish characters, why on earth would you use an American narrator? The main character speaks with an American accent and calls herbs "erbs". The English accents just sound constipated and the Scottish accents are rather cringy (some kind of Indian / Irish mix?) If you rerecorded this with a British narrator it would be 5 stars. I'm really looking forward to the final book but I'll be reading it rather than listening.
