Story
One of the world’s most recognisable sci-fi stories, H. G. Wells’ The War of The Worlds established numerous conventions for the genre, including the threat of an invasive extraterrestrial species, space travel and intergalactic conflict, inspiring directors, gamers, producers and writers alike with its sobering story of struggle and survival. Marrying the suspense, drama and urgency of Wells’ original novel with Jeff Wayne’s rousing and flamboyant score, Audible’s new and exclusive dramatisation uses action, narration, original music and evocative sound design to immerse listeners in a world that’s as thrilling as it is desolate.

Not brilliantly written or performed
Shatter should probably stick to acting as he’s not the best author as this audiobook demonstrates. His narration isn’t that great either. All in all I was very disappointed. I won’t buy another audiobook performed or written by him again.

Shatner Nails It
Written and read by William Shatner. How great is that alone, but for him to write such a good story with twists and connections to the Original series and the Movies make it come alive again.

Star Trek: Spectre: Excellent Story
Mr. Shatner is a natural born story teller. He reads his story to you with infectious enthusiasm, and treats the trader, or in this case, the listener, as if you are in the story with him. I’ve listened to this story at least ten times, and will listen again, along with his other stories. Get this book!
