Join the Nicholson family for this heartwarming journey through a typical springtime on their South Yorkshire farm.

Throughout the book, they reflect on the childhood stories, testing times, poignant memories and enriching experiences that have shaped the lives they lead today. With the coming of a new season, Roger and Cynthia Nicholson and their sons Richard, Robert and David show how the farming year is shaped around the arrival of baby goats, lambs, calves and piglets galore.

As Yorkshire's premier open farm attraction, Cannon Hall Farm continues to play host to thousands of visitors and spring is the busiest time of the year. People flock to meet the new arrivals and catch up with old favourites, such as the llama and alpaca posse, the stunning shire horses and the irrepressible Shetland ponies, including Ozzie Horsebourne and Jon Bon Pony.

Along with all the animal antics, Springtime at Cannon Hall Farm features tales of bygone days when traditional skills, crafts and daily practices shaped life in the countryside. And for fans of Rob and Dave's Channel 5 shows, there are lots of behind-the-scenes secrets you won't want to miss....

I've watched the show Springtime on The Farm on channel 5 and I love The Yorkshire Vet so I've really enjoyed this book and getting to know the history of the farm and how the brothers spent there childhood. I've also enjoyed hearing about the team who work there. Cant wait for the next book.

I loved everything about this wonderful book. It's so lovely to listen to the stories of Roger & Cynthia Nicholson & their three lads Richard, Farmer Rob & Farmer Dave.
We don't see much of Richard on the TV shows, so it was a real treat to hear him narrating the book, he read the whole book brilliantly. I really hope Richard narrates all future books too, It makes all the difference & it was so authentic.
If you like the TV series you will so enjoy this audiobook & if you have never seen it then this book is the perfect introduction to this lovely hardworking farming family & tales of the farm, the family, the staff & all the wonderful animals.

This is an in-depth, factual but amusing, account of family farming in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Following the ups and downs of their everyday lives, showing how caring they are with the animals that they love and respect. How they have expanded through the years, their work with television, local vets and the open days on the farm with it's happy visitors. The restaurants, shop, children's areas and of course all the fabulous special rare breeds. The additional animals making the farm an incredible place to visit. Sadly, I live in Leicestershire, so a bit too far away for a pop-in visit, but visit I do on the webcams and it is delightful. Thank you!
