I like it and the narro was not the best voice, but i did get use to it after 5 min, i mange to listen to vol 3 and did get the vol 4 that is only ebook at moment

Its pretty good, well written and a fun listen, but it didn’t really capture my attention, not enough to get book 2 at least

I listened to this book for free, on one of those promotions Audible does occasionally to try and attract listeners to less well-known authors. And I'm glad I did. The plot is great, the characters are engaging, and the narrator does a brilliant job bringing them to life (aside from the odd mispronunciation, such as reading "magus" as "mage-us" rather than "may-gus").

My only complaint, and the reason that I won't be buying this book or its two (at the time of writing this review) sequels, is that they're far, far too short. This might not matter to those who're happy to pay any amount of money for good listening, and I don't begrudge anyone that...

But personally, I know there are plenty of other audiobooks on this platform that are far longer than this one, and of similar quality throughout. Generally, if an audiobook is 20+ hours, I'll consider that a brilliant deal (assuming the writing is decent), while if one is 12+ hours, I'll consider that reasonable. But less than 10 hours, like this book?
I can't justify spending money on that, personally.

If this series eventually gets an omnibus (or multiple of them, depending on how many volumes long it ends up being), then I can easily see myself returning to it.
