The author is a geologist and provided many stories around verses from the bible and how she interprets those verses and incorporate them into prayer. She also provides things to think about and reflect on in each section.

The audible portion is done at a slower speed so it is very easy to increase the speed so the book ends up being much shorter than expected. At a faster speed the narrator is still clear and easy to understand.

What a beautiful book 😻 in these difficult times, this is what we need: to draw closer to God. I felt a sense of calm in my heart ❤️ when I listened to the beautiful reflections in this audio. Spiritual Bites was a very good listen that encouraged me to slow down and be more intentional about my relationship with God. I enjoyed listening to the guidance on prayer, faith and spending daily time in God’s presence. The reflections and prayers made the messages personal. The narration also made the audiobook soothing to listen to.

If you are not a believer in God and do not like to hear books dealing with spirituality and the belief of God, this may not be the audio book for you. If you are not only spiritual, but also a believer in God--even part way and wish to draw closer to your spirituality, then this is absolutely the audiobook for you. I, personally, consider myself somewhere in between. So, I did enjoy it. The author is a Geologist by learning and by training. The author discusses bites of her life and with each section, she tells how it brought her closer to God and references appropriate scriptures that she thought about during those situations. She sometimes she also references back to her learning/training of being a geologist and associates it to a relationship with God, which I thought was done very well.
