Summary

Born to a rarified breed of Russian aristocracy, Kraven the Hunter had stalked and killed every animal known to man and considered himself the world's best big-game hunter. It was this confidence that brought him to New York years ago, in an obsessive quest to hunt what he considered the city's greatest prey: Spider-Man.

But his target eluded him time and again, mocking him at every turn.

Now, after years of crushing defeats against the web-slinger, Kraven has hatched one last plan to best Spider-Man. In a stunning instant of shocking violence, Kraven stands finally triumphant over Peter Parker's seemingly dead body. And to prove that he is the hero's master...Kraven will pull on his costume and become him!

This GraphicAudio® Production is adapted from the graphic novel by J.M. DeMatteis and Mike Zeck.

Decent story

warning spoilers:

Story little predictable. Spider-Man losses at beginning and wins at end. Story at times a little ridiculous, like Spider-Man is buried underground for two weeks in a tombstone and somehow still lives. Story is also produces an unclean feeling like when Spider-Man battles the villain Vermin at end and he is ingesting all that sewage water as a result of their battle. Also in this battle, Spider-Man is at times exposing his recent cuts and wounds to the sewage water.

Confusing, and dragged on

The Actors and Actresses did a great job

this book isn't a Spider-Man book, it's a Kraven book that happens to feature Spider-Man. Spider-Man was barely in this book. the hallucinations made it hard to follow EVERYONE WAS HALLUCINATING. at one point I thought Mysterio was going to be a surprise ending pulling the strings... and the amount of times I heard the term "I am" smh wow

Could not even finish it

Any one who is interested in this book should listen to the sample first. I can not even tell if the story is good because the horrible sound effects, background noises, and music make this completely unbearable to listen to. Why would anyone think that listing to people eat drink and kiss as sound effects would make the book better?

Here’s some news, Marvel

Audiobook listeners actually like books. We don’t want a “movie for the Mind” or whatever you’re dubbing this.

The story was weak and better suited for the graphic novel it originally was.

Also, we care what the narrator sounds like, and sadly, Rohan’s cadence (for me) was nauseating. He sounded like he was reading a script.

Tell us a story in the format we actually pay for an audible subscription to hear. If we wanted a movie, we would watch one. The sound effects were distracting at best and laughable at worst.

If you insist upon this form of storytelling, do yourselves a flavor and listen to anything Star Wars with Marc Thompson.

Reader/Listener, beware: this barely qualifies as an audiobook.
