Summary

Hoping to snag some rent-paying photos of his arachnid-like alter ego in action, Peter Parker goes looking for trouble - and finds it in the form of a mysterious, mythical stone tablet coveted by both the Kingpin and the Maggia.

Caught in the crosshairs of New York's most nefarious villains, Peter also runs afoul of his friends - and the police! His girlfriend, Gwen Stacy, isn't too happy with him either. And the past comes back to haunt him when the Maggia's assumed-dead leader resurfaces in pursuit of the troublesome tablet. Plus with Aunt May at death's door, has the ol' Parker luck disappeared for good?

Based on the classic Stone Tablet Saga, this novel has been adapted and expanded for the present.

Well done!

This was a great audio recording where the sounds and voice acting bring the book to life! Excellent all the way around!

I wish I Could give it 6 stars

Excellent story, that touches on many prevalent issues. The complexity of the story captures a range of emotions and does an accurate depiction of describing the inner struggles that spider-man faces. The production, performances, and story are A-1. I enjoyed it!!

pretty good, got weird, tho

not bad, but it got a bit weird, when the "weapon" started aging and "juvenating" (get younger) characters. I struggled through the last 30-40 mins, and gave up rewinding.

Way better than expected

I'm a big Spiderman fan. I remembered this arc from the 90's cartoon and went in knowing there was a risk that I'd already know everything that was going to happen, but I'm going through another Marvel kick right now and needed something to scratch the itch. While I can't say that it was entirely different, the similarities were so scarce that it felt like a new story to me, and they kind of knocked it out of the park in my opinion. Highly recommend it, even if you've seen a variation of this story before.

Another Great Audible Title

The performance was great and up to GA's usual standard. My only problem was the characterization of Kingpin was not very accurate. He came across as weak and pathetic. As I remember the Kingpin nearly killed Spiderman on more than one occasion with his bear hands.
