Summary
I suck at witchcraft.
Coming from a long line of famous witches, I should be at the top of the heap. Problem is, if there’s a spell cast anywhere near me, I‘ll somehow mess it up. As a probationary agent with the Arcane Bureau of Investigation, I have two choices: I can limp along and maybe pass myself off as a competent agent, or I can die.
Horribly.
Worse news? I seem to have a stalker in the form of a sinfully hot, perpetually grumpy wolf, who seems to have a keen interest in keeping me alive.
Whose idea was this again?
If you enjoy fated mates, enemies-to-lovers, and steamy paranormal romance, then check out Spells and Slip-ups, the first audiobook in The Wrong Witch series.

Wow
I am so excited to see where this one is going, the story flowed well and was absolutely packed with things to keep my attention i love a good spell gone wrong and this one delivered well. The narration was also absolutely fantastic and added so much to the story. A fantastic listen.

Great Start
Annie's new series is off to a great start. Wren is a wonky witch who thinks she has no magic and Nico is a wolf alpha looking to find his true mate before his 30th birthday. Throw in spells gone wrong, ABI camp and a trafficking ring and you have laughs and shenanigans galore. I love Annie's books, but this is the first I've listened to. I found it a little twangy for my British ears, but overall a great listen

Sweet and funny
It’s a really good story about a young girl finding herself in dire circumstances… it’s very much a cliffhanger and I presume a lot is revealed in the next book - which I’m looking forward to!

Spells and Slip Ups
The audiobooks Spells and Slip Ups by Annie Anderson is so worth listening to. Nico's voice is so Southern gentlemanly I was swooning from the first moment it started. I have been anxiously waiting for it's release and let me tell you it was so worth it!!!!
I can't tell you how many times my jaw dropped while listening to this book. Oh my God moments and the seggy times are flaming 🔥🔥🔥🙊🙉🙈. Wren and Nico are so the new couple to read about. Trust, power, strength and new friends all make for book I couldn't put down.
The story line is written extremely well and flows nicely and is intriguing all the way until the very last pages. I almost quite literally shouted NOOOO when I was done listening iwasn't ready yet oh man I wasn't ready to be done yet.
Annie Anderson has another winner 🏆 on her hands and I can't recommend it enough

Such a fun story to listen to!
This audiobook book is bleeping awesome, if your ears are not bleeding with the amount of cursing...
I loooved the dynamics of the main couple, and the secondary characters were well balanced. I like the dual reading, which meant that you cannot doubt whose point of view it is (though I don't believe it would be possible, as both Wren and Nico are very much their own people!).
Anyway, this book cracked me up so many times, and the story is tight and well planned. Have fun listening! :D.

Female narrator was awful
I couldn’t even finish listening to it because the female narration was so awful. I’m not sure how it got so many positive reviews.

Loved it
The narrators both did an excellent job. Enjoyed the book immensely cannot wait for the next book. Excellent story line character development in a plot.
FMC finds herself in a situation that could cause her death. All her life she has believed that she was basically cursed that magic backfired around her. Come to find out that might not be the case. Her own family has deserted her and unexpectedly during her forced training she finds some answers and a mate. She also finds friends that love and care for her.
The MC is sent to the training session to route out corruption unbeknownst his mate was there. He knew he was drawn to her, but until his 30th birthday the fact was not shown that she was his mate. Can you figure out what is happening to females at the training area before it's too late?

I Enjoyed It
I really enjoyed this book. It was the first book I've read/listened to by this author. I liked the world it was set in and the intermix and balance of witches/paranormal and non-paranormal society. I really liked both Wren and Nico. Wren is a witch who constantly fails at magic, but I love her sassy personality and she has a good heart. Nico was a growly and protective wolf shifter who saved her life and has been powerfully drawn to her ever since. I also liked the supporting characters in this book.
I listened to this story in audiobook and I loved the narration. Wren's character was narrated by Celeste Woodward and Nico's character by Lance Greenfield. I thought both did a fantastic job with their narrations, showed good emotions at the appropriate times, and did good jobs differentiating between different voices. I also liked the accents. Overall the story was all the more rich for it's narrations and I very much enjoyed it.

Awesome
Oh my goodness I LOVED this audio.
Usually I’m not a fan of audio in general. I’m always worried about the sound of the narrators and if it’ll match what my head comes up with. Ok yeah these narrators did not disappoint!
I absolutely loved Wren, the voice was straight up spot on. It was hilarious hearing the narrator read it out. I really love this series all together, this book just topped it all off.
If you enjoy this seriously I highly recommend getting the audio! It’s just as fabulous as reading the books.

ROTFL with a side of heat!
What a fun read. Loved the characters and the story was a ton of fun. Who doesn’t love a strong heroine that just can’t seem to get it right and a hot guy in denial? Excellent from the start to the end with suspense adventure and a great supporting cast. While I know you can’t go wrong with Annie Anderson, this story doesn’t slip anywhere. First class read.
I also listened to the audio and the narrators brought the story to life. I like audio books because I can actually “read” while doing something else so this was perfect. Alternating POVs which gives the story more interest (I love to hear both sides of the story).

Love it
All Wren wanted to do was help a friend but as things go on her life everything spiraled out of control. So she is shipped off to training for the Arcane Bureau of Investigation. She would prefer jail time for her alleged crime but this is what she got and she has to make things work. Which might have been easier if magic didn’t go a wee bit (actually a lot) crazy in her presence. Something that’s made her life difficult and has left her as an outcast in her family.
Nico is reluctant to do a favor for a friend especially since he knows it will put him in proximity to a certain troublesome witch. He wants to focus on his future and finding his mate who is definitely not this witch.
All is not right in the training camp and while Nico is trying to figure out what it is. Wren is just trying to survive but of course because it’s her life things do not go as planned at all.
The only thing I didn’t like in this book was how Wren was blaming herself and saying she caused magical catastrophes when that’s not true. She doesn’t actually do anything it just happens so how can it be her fault?.

Fantastic Start
This is a fantastic start to The Wrong Witch series. It is filled with humor, steam, wit and mystery. I loved the swoonworthy moments. Wren is a very likable character that has amazing inner monologues. This does end on a cliffhanger and I am so excited for the book. Ienhiyed the narration and how easy it was to listen to.
