In the small town of Gold Springs, Calliope Petridi and her two sisters carefully guard the secret of their magic and the price they must pay to practise it: memories. Luckily, all Calliope wants to do is forget: the mother who left without a trace, the sisters from whom she feels increasingly distant, and most of all, the way the love of her life shattered her heart two years ago.
But when an ancient evil awakens, the fragile thread that holds the sisters together breaks. As their magic slowly begins to fade, Calliope accidentally binds herself to the handsome leader of a rival coven infamous for their ruthless pursuit of power. Battling the sizzling chemistry with a man she can’t trust, Calliope must confront painful memories of her past, dark family secrets, and ancient magic in order to protect the town and all she loves.
But will she have anything left of herself?

Critic reviews
SPELL, STRINGS, AND FORGOTTEN THINGS is a sublimely atmospheric, starlit story about the power of magic, love, sisterhood, and memory, and the sacrifices they demand. If you love sentient grimoires, complex families and friendships, eerily magical forests, ancient altars, and simmering enemies-to-lovers romances – and the protective power of mismatched socks! – get ready to fall under Breanne Randall's gorgeous, ineffably charming spell (Lana Harper, New York Times bestselling author of 'Payback's a Witch')
A deliciously dark tale of sisterhood that felt richly magical, I couldn't get enough of the Charmed vibes (Lucy Jane Wood, author of 'Rewitched')
Breanne Randall once again proves herself to be the queen of small-town magic that packs a huge emotional punch. Spells, Strings, and Forgotten Things is a feast of complex family dynamics, whimsical witchery, and the most irresistible romance with my new favorite shadow daddy. Absolutely enchanting from start to finish (Sydney J. Shields, USA TODAY bestselling author of 'The Honey Witch')
As sweet and spicy as a freshly baked ginger biscuit drizzled with honey, Spells, Strings, and Forgotten Things is witchy romantasy at its finest. I flew through it, delighting in every page (Bianca Marais, author of 'The Witches of Moonshyne Manor')
Absolutely irresistible! Spells, Strings, and Forgotten Things is a captivating story about loss, love, and sisterhood. I was enthralled! (Sarah Beth Durst, NEW YORK TIMES bestselling author of 'The Spellshop')
By turns sweet as sugar, sinister as shadow, and sexy as sin, Spells, Strings, and Forgotten Things is a feast for the senses. Randall has deftly woven a spectacularly magical story I will not soon forget (Lyra Selene, internationally bestselling author of 'A Feather So Black')
From the first page, Randall weaves a tale infused with the power of memories, love, and legacy. Fans of Charmed will adore the strands of sisterhood, romance, and resilience that Randall threads together in her latest book, a captivating blend of small-town magic and urban fantasy. Be prepared to stay up late into the night reading this one because you won’t want to put it down (Stacy Sivinski, author of 'The Crescent Moon Tearoom')

Going in, I went in with an open mind. But there is always something about sisterly love that gets me. And this book is no exception.
I adored the main character Calliope, and how she wants nothing more than for her sister's to embrace their magic. But after their mother leaves without a word, that's the last thing the sister want, especially the eldest one. However, darkness looms and the powers that Calliope and her sisters have starts to weaken. When Calliope goes to visit the dark forest, and to the Oat Tree which she's been told to never travel, she accidentally binds her string of power to a dark, brooding Shadowcrafter, Lucien.
Lucien has his own reasons for seeking the powers of the dark oak tree, but what he doesn't expect is to fall for the very Witch he is bound to.
I loved it. I really enjoyed listening to this and with the twists the story takes!
