When Killian Barth, history professor, meets Blaine Genneau, quantum physicist, they ignite their own big bang. But Killian can't pursue a physics professor - or a human. As the most powerful male witch in 10 generations, Killian must bolster his dying race by reproducing - despite the fact that he's gay.

Even a fling with Blaine is out of the question, because Killian has been told sex with humans drains his power. But if that's true, why can young human Jimmy Janx dissolve spoons with the power of his mind? If Killian can sort through the lies he's been fed, he'll still face his biggest obstacle - convincing rational scientist Blaine to believe in magic.

With his ancient and powerful cat familiar, Aloysius, on his shoulder, Killian brings the lightning against deceit and greed to save Blaine from danger and prove love is the greatest power of them all.

A well written story with and interesting  concept.  The characters are likeable and the narration is very good.

Enjoyable Story

It was a fun story, it had a lot of promise, but it just fell short of being brilliant, sadly!

I liked both Killian & Blaine, but Aloysius is the true star of the show 😂

TBPH, the underlying subject matter is deep, dark & disturbing, but the author always kept a light spin on it.

There are many facts of prejudice portrayed & the villain's fate is satisfying & the best type of karma!

a fun story to pass the time

I really enjoyed this one. I like the author anyway but the narrator did a good job. Tara Lain has done several books that I like so she's an author id recommend for other books especially the Home Improvement one and the Playhouse one. Definitely worth a listen.

Really enjoyable

I'm not a fan of graphic 'adult' interaction. Of any variety.

The outline strory in this is pretty good but I found I was skipping lengthy chunks of audio. Had the warning and reviews been more open, I do not believe I would ever have started it.

I liked the book. There were some funny moments that brought out a chuckle. The book was entertaining. I think you have to listen to the book with tongue in cheek and not be too serious about it, this includes the names of characters such as Janx and Barth which to me sounded like barth. I thought the narrator did a good job with the various characters. Overall, the book was a decent way to pass time.
