loved this story, it didn't do the usual magic angle and was interesting and cute! The voice actors were also great and lived seeing both perspectives of the main characters

By now, I pick up every new work FT releases because their stories and characters never seize to put me under their spell.
And this is certainly no exception, I fell in love with the wonderful cast right away - my favourite being Sun - and both narrators do a great job bringing everything to life.

I need a moment for the cover because honestly, that’s what sold me on this book 😂 I knew nothing about it or the author before hand (I know you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover…but I totally did) and glad I did cause I really enjoyed this! I’ll be interested to read more by this author! I tandem read with the audiobook and think the narrators did a brilliant job of the characters.
The story followed two 16 year old apprentices that worked for rival (enemy) sorcerers. Which in turn made them rivals. Regardless their interactions were always so cute! (They both may beg to differ 🤣). They worked to “fix” hexes and spells for the public, which were at times comical (children with pig noses and singing mice).
