Brilliant!
Would you listen to Spanish Short Stories for Beginners again? Why?
I would definitely listen again, i do have a passion for the Spanish culture and i travel there a lot. This book really helps improving conversational skills
What was one of the most memorable moments of Spanish Short Stories for Beginners?
All the way through, this book was just perfect. Overall, i liked very much the narrator, his speech is clear and you can understand everything. Juan`s story about friends and living in London was really good.
Have you listened to any of Lucia Bodas and Abel Franco ’s other performances? How does this one compare?
This is my first book but will definitely browse for more.
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
How to be... Spanish :-)
Any additional comments?
I am just preparing for a short holiday in Madrid and this book is of great help. Although I did study Spanish in university, I found myself unable to hold a decent conversation after all these years. Been listening to the short stories in the last couple of days and I can honestly say my Spanish is now as good as it was back then. It truly helps with the pronunciation given it is an audiobook. Not to mention the narrator is fantastic! It is all on my Iphone so I can listen to it at home, at work during my breaks and I am definitely planning to keep on listening to the stories on my flight out. Would recommend!

Easy to understand and clear Spanish.
If you could sum up Spanish Short Stories for Beginners in three words, what would they be?
Simple Clear Informative. These short stories are lovely to listen to even for those who are not proficient with the language.
What other book might you compare Spanish Short Stories for Beginners to, and why?
Other German books I've heard in the past with short stories have helped me to learn German and this book would do the same job for Spanish!
What about Lucia Bodas and Abel Franco ’s performance did you like?
Their voice was very clear, and easy for me to understand, not rushed which is important!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes, but I'll leave that surprise to the reader!
Any additional comments?
Beautiful easy to listen to short stories. Simple and easy to follow along even if your just starting to learn spanish, a great book for those picking up spanish again.

Great Audiobook!
What did you like most about Spanish Short Stories for Beginners?
I would exclude two things:
1.The content of the stories. I am just the beginner, but I have found a rich vocabulary which is useful in everyday conversations. I am going to spend some time improving my language before the trip to Spain!
2. The easy layout. You get pdf file as well, so it's great to check the spelling or follow the conversations. Personally, I can't learn much just listening, so in this case, the pdf is very useful for me, because I can just read the conversations at the same time I listen to them.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Spanish Short Stories for Beginners?
I have enjoyed everything in this audiobook, however, I like the short questions with the solutions after each story, so you can check yourself if you really listen carefully.
Which scene did you most enjoy?
I have mostly enjoyed the beginning of the 2nd story (about the night in the cinema) because it was simple and helped me to remember some ordinary, but very useful Spanish sentences.
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
It's hard to say because all of the stories are different. However, I will probably just call it 'Spanish stories'
Any additional comments?
I would recommend the audiobook for everyone who wants to learn Spanish or improve the language.

Good Book!
Any additional comments?
As a person who learned Spanish long ago It was quite refreshing to brush up my Spanish skills, even though my level is a beginner. For those who are looking to listen to Spanish language being spoken slowly look no more! I know that when you are just learning Spanish it is very hard to grasp Spanish people speaking, as they speak fast and with an accent. This book will help you to get used to listen and comprehend the Spanish language.
After the short story, there is a translation, which is amazing! As you don’t have to translate it yourself. Also, there is a vocabulary, which gives you the words and their translation.
The narration is slow, understandable and distinct. The recording is clear and of good quality, gives you pleasure listening to Spanish. Would recommend to somebody who wants to listen to Spanish language and learn some new words, as you can actually hear each one of them!

Would you listen to Spanish Short Stories for Beginners again? Why?
I really enjoyed these stories. I studied Spanish for a while at school but haven't used it in a few years so I wanted something to help me pick it back up again. The stories were clear and interesting, and I really appreciated the pdf that came with it so I could check anything I wasn't sure of. The reading speed was good, clear but not too slow so it sounded natural. There were quite a few new words for me as well, and a lot of different grammar structures for me to practice. I'd definitely recommend it to a friend.

Any additional comments?
I have really enjoyed this book. I have been learning Spanish now for a few months and I have been struggling to find something I can listen to on the go to improve my skills. I also like to learn on my own rather than in a classroom, so this book is the perfect tool for me. I have learned some new phrases that I have already used with some of my Spanish speaking friends and they have been quite impressed. I would definitely recommend this book for those who want to learn Spanish on their own and in their own time.

Enjoy while Learning.....
I enjoyed the male speaker as I find the manner of what he says in a slow, sure fashion with the correct enunciation and pronunciation of the words & phrases. It’s as if he is trying to spell out the words as he speak them. Also, he knows when to emphasize points and delivers them well. He is such a good storyteller so that a non-Spanish speaker can somehow get a bit of an idea of what he was talking about and can understand the whole story.
On the other hand, the first female speaker presented herself well as she speaks the language in a way it is done in a natural setting – very conversational, fluent and you can feel the emotions as it is spoken. I love the highs & lows of her voice as she speaks depending on the situation.
The second female speaker with the conventional method of giving out the Spanish words and phrases and subsequently providing their counterpart English words and phrases is the simplest and easiest to do. I like that the conjugation of the verb is also being explained so helps one to understand better the use of the verb tense. However, this method maybe is not as interesting and engaging as the first two stories above.
Overall, I find this a useful and worthy audiobook both for a beginner and someone who has already a grasp of the Spanish language but wants to learn more. Truly, one can enjoy while learning!

Good foundation in learning the Spanish language
Any additional comments?
I studied Spanish language in College and continued learning it using alternative mobile applications but that was a long time ago and mostly just reading Spanish words and their translations. This audiobook is truly a refresher for a novice like me in Spanish language.
Listening to the stories allow me to enhance my comprehension and help me learn how to pronounce Spanish words the right way. The difficulty level will not stressed you out but rather help you learn the basics of the language while being entertained.
The stories involve words and phrases that can be used in a day to day conversation and the delivery of it is so clear and easy to understand. The pacing of the narrators voices both male and the female one allows me to comprehend the phrases effectively. Furthermore, the narrators enunciate the words fluently and in a conversational way. Grammatical structures were presented in a smart way that lets you grasp it easily and the vocabulary section at the last part was presented in a way that will stay in your memory. The audiobook is a really helpful tool to learn the Spanish language quickly and efficiently. It allows me to be more confident in learning the language. This medium is really an effective tool to brush up your Spanish and to let you have a good foundation of it.

The many vocab words that I learned and the great short stories told in the book.
What about Lucia Bodas and Abel Franco ’s performance did you like?
I liked the speed at which they read. It was not to fast so I could comprehend what they were saying but not to slow to where I did not want to read it.

Not really it was a great learning experience.
Any additional comments?
This was a really good book to read. I have taken Spanish classes in the past and learned some Spanish but this book really helped me understand the Spanish language. I thought the pace of the book was great, it went slow enough that I could understand what was being said or at least parts that I recognized but did not go to slow so that it did not drag on. I recommend this book to anyone who is trying to start learning Spanish or trying to brush up on their Spanish or French. The definitions that were being explained helped me refresh my vocabulary. This was a great book that allowed me to learn Spanish and French better than I have before.

Great Way to Learn the Basics!
As a pre-medicine student, Spanish is extremely helpful and useful to have on my resume. It is not required in college, but I possess some knowledge from high school. I desired the ability to brush up on my skills, and refresh my memory of the language, so I sought out an audiobook in order to be able to hear the words being spoken. I came across this audiobook and absolutely loved the presentation and the content. At the beginning of the book, the author provides an introduction and an email, which I found to be very helpful if having trouble accessing the PDF version. It was nice to be able to follow along with the PDF version while also hearing the story. This allowed me to recognize words and spell them correctly.
In regards to the speaker, he was very easy to follow. He spoke clearly and slowly so that the listener could take time to comprehend the story. The content of the book is perfect for beginners; it possesses everyday words that would be useful in common conversation. The story was interesting, yet provided knowledge that the listener could apply later.
Overall, I adored this audiobook; I would definitely recommend it to my friends and peers looking to learn the basics of Spanish.

Perfect for someone re-learning the language
What did you love best about Spanish Short Stories for Beginners?
As someone who studied Spanish growing up until I graduated high school, I was looking for something to touch up on my skills especially since I had forgotten some of my Spanish when I started learning German.I found the stories comprehensive and the speaker crisp and clear. Compared to other language learning products I’ve used, I found this more useful since it wasn’t just an exercise workbook or vocabulary list.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Spanish Short Stories for Beginners?
I feel like that in order to really learn a language, you have to either immerse yourself in the culture or study the language being used in everyday use. This is why I found the short stories so useful. It really makes you feel like you are in a Spanish setting rather than just being lectured to about vocabulary and grammar. The best part for me was that the audio is broken up into sections which seem to be around 10 minutes each, so it is convenient for me to listen to them while driving.
Have you listened to any of Lucia Bodas and Abel Franco ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not listened to their other audio books before but I feel like I would be inclined to after listening to this book provided its material that is relevant to me.

I've used a bunch of different language learning tools, some a lot more expensive than others, and I found this was as helpful as any of them. Of course, you want to diversify how you learn a language so using other tools on top of these short stories + PDF file will help you solidify your learning. But this is a great place to start.
Rather than feeling like I was thrown back in school again, the short stories were enjoyable to listen to and presented me a challenge to comprehend all of it while being spoken by a native Spanish speaker. Before bed, I review the PDF file for a few minutes to help reinforce what I learned during the day, and between the authentic Spanish speaker and the PDF, my Spanish is definitely starting to improve!
