Summary

Learn 1,000 Spanish Words - -Without Memorization!

Did you know that you need only 1,000 Spanish words to understand 76 percent of all Spanish nonfiction writing, 79.6 percent of all fiction, and a whopping 87.8 percent of all spoken Spanish conversations?

Now you can take a shortcut to Spanish vocabulary by learning 1,000 of the most common Spanish words covering 26 themes - with no need for rote memorization. All you need is six to seven minutes per day to listen to audio drills. The exercises will teach you 20 to 25 Spanish words each day through a repetition method designed to help you grasp the words naturally.

Pronounce Common Spanish Words the Right Way

The drills are narrated by a Spanish speaker and guaranteed to help you learn and practice correct pronunciation, as it is spoken by native speakers today. Each word is spoken first in Spanish, with its English translation (spoken in normal speed) and one more time in Spanish, but spoken in slower speed.

Highly Convenient and Effective

Each daily session lasts for six to seven minutes and is very easy to follow. You can listen to the drills practically anywhere - during your commute, while driving, while running, while doing chores, or during any free time you have.

The words are divided into 26 themes, making it easier for you to focus on the topics you are most interested in.

PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying reference material will be available in your Library section along with the audio.

Great audiobook, no need to look further for basic language.

The audiobook covers an extensive amount of topics, and each chapter is devoted to one topic which is great. The words are pronounced by a native Spanish speaker which really helps with mastering the correct way of speaking.
The book has helped me improve my pronunciation of difficult Spanish words, and for newcomers, the addition of masculine/feminine clarification is important to the learning of this language.

Very good as part of learning Spanish.

I'm 3 months into my Spanish journey and really do like this. Sometimes the pronunciation of the English words is a bit confusing (took me a while to work out she was 'jaw') but after doing this everyday for the last few weeks I'm really getting to grips with it!

I have been refusing to move on until I crack a subject matter. So when I know what 100% of the words are, I move on to the next subject.

This is not stand alone stuff, I've got lots of other materials for grammar and conversation. But for pure vocabulary improvement... brilliant.

Very good!

Helpful tool for learning Spanish

Any additional comments?

The audiobook is a useful tool for learning Spanish. Building vocabulary is not always easy, but the approach offered by this book has been of great help. The pace of the audio drills is appropriate and ideal for new learners like me, and the content is bite-sized, which makes it easy to dip into. A huge plus, of course, is the fact that the words are pronounced by native Spanish speakers. I am now much more confident in pronouncing and speaking in Spanish!

Well structured and lots of words!

Any additional comments?

Wow this audiobook has a huge variety of words. It's more than 5 hours of Spanish vocabulary, very well organised in different groups and subgroups of words (animals, verbs, nouns...). The narrator says the words in a perfect native Spanish and then the translation in English. What I like the most is that she says if the words are male or female, that is very important for me. I just don’t understand why it says that you’ll learn ‘Without Memorization’ because I still have to memorize everything. Overall it is a good audiobook to brush up your Spanish or even to add a few new words to your vocabulary.

Great read, Definitively recommended!

Would you consider the audio edition of Spanish Audio Flash Cards: Learn 1000 Spanish Words - Without Memorization! to be better than the print version?

Great read and it really helped me brush up on my Spanish for the last trip to visit my friend’s villa.
Really simple but informative, i listened to it on the way to and from work for just three weeks and i totally nailed speaking with the locals at my friend’s village.
Unlike other flash card books this one really focuses on the words you need to know day-to-day and really reinforces words in a way that helped me remember them when i needed to!
I have already recommended to a few of my friends, i can’t suggest this audio book enough.

Very useful aid

Very good aid to learning Spanish. Users should realise that this is in Latin American Spanish and not Castilian so, for instance, the word used to translate potatoes is papas and not patatas, but these are rare. English pronunciation is sometimes not clear but is usually understandable. This is not a course it is an audio version of flash cards, so do not expect explanations or grammar just listen to the audio over and over again and let it sink in.

Seemed a little careless.

I liked the idea of teaching the commonest words. However, the implementation seemed slapdash. The pronunciation of the English words was sometimes poor, by the time you've worked out what's going on, the Spanish word has gone. Some English words have multiple meanings, so giving a one word translation leaves the listener wondering how to interpret. All of the Spanish words for 'to be' are translated as 'to be', even though there are different meanings according to which Spanish version of 'to be' is used. The reader is reading from a text that seems partly edited and doesn't always make sense. For example when the reader says 'word number hashtag', what are we supposed to understand? It would be much easier to learn if the English were given first and then the Spanish because knowing what the word means really helps with hearing and remembering it. For me, the first time that a Spanish word was given was often wasted. It would have been good if the nouns had been given with the definite or indefinite article so that the listener would know the gender.

Paul Noble's audiobook was a much better way of learning Spanish. Paul did not randomly drop in words that could be most useful for reading porn magazines into the word list as the audio flash card track does. It's a good job that my children weren't listening along some of the time.

Great for memorising and broadening vocabulary!

Having studied languages for many years, I know that repetition is key to learning vocabulary, and this audiobook is perfect for that!

Comprehensive lists of useful vocabulary are broken up into clear, logical chapters, and further explanations of contextual uses as well as grammatical formations are included where necessary. This ensures that you not only remember the words, but that you know how, and when, to use them in a sentence.

The pronunciation is slow and clear. The vocabulary lists are relevant for all levels of learners, and as promised in the description, this is the ideal audiobook to listen to during the daily commute or house tasks to just effortlessly memorise and broaden your vocabulary.

The only negative feedback is that the chapter order is a bit random and that, although they are numbered, the chapters do not appear listed by topic title. This makes it harder to skip backwards and forwards to choose the subject topic that you would like to focus on.

Invaluable learning resource

The narrator makes good use of tone, pace and pronunciation, resulting in an audiobook that is easy to follow, with chapters that breakdown the learning and makes developing your language skills far less challenging. My six year old grandson listened alongside me for some of the chapters and can now recall nouns including days and months, with ease. An invaluable resource for learning Spanish as a new language or improving your Spanish grammar and vocabulary skills.

Don’t bother . Look at the others ..

Does not make sense at all if you are just starting to learn Spanish. eg . Gives 3 pronunciations for Bull 2 male 1 female without explaining why you have 2 male and what context to use them in ??. Check out some others if you want to switch on and listen. PS. I only gave one star on each , as you cannot submit review unless you do ...
