Summary

Charlotte has always been a good girl. But being good is getting boring.

She’s not just stuck in a rut - she’s buried in it up to her chin. The only company she has in bed is the back catalogue of Netflix and falling in love feels like the stuff of fairy tales.

So when she stumbles across a popular podcast, Sorry Not Sorry, which challenges women to embrace their inner bad girl, she jumps at the chance to shake things up. Old Charlotte would never ask for a stranger’s number, go on a blind date or buy lacy lingerie...but New Charlotte is waving goodbye to her comfort zone (with a side order of margaritas).

And it turns out that good things happen to bad girls....

50/50

Charlotte was compared to Blake Lively and Ivanka Trump looks wise yet the descriptions given by herself and others implied that she was ugly, especially with how in awe she was with Tansy’s appearance? Also the romance with Xander felt rushed, she didn’t care for him for the whole of the story yet at the end she magically changed her mind? The same with Adam, she spoke as though she found him to be gross and dirty yet she gets drunk and then it’s a total 180? I enjoyed the concept of the story but I think it went too in depth in some parts which weren’t necessary. Lots of focus on Maddie at the start and during the wedding but she was completely omitted from the story when it was convenient. I didn’t hate it, and I do think it was entertaining and a good listen, there are just many parts in the story that didn’t quite sit right.

Slow burner

It was a good book, however I found it quite tedious to keep listening to the same scenario all the time.

wasn't for me

Really sorry not sorry but it just wasn't holding my interest. I couldn't relate to the flow of the story and it wasn't as funny. for me it lacked something in a romance story.

refund please

This book is sooo boring I can't stand to listen to any more of it!? There is no story line. I can't even tell you what it's actually even about because I just switch off every time I put it on. I paid 8.99 for this what a waste of money.

Weak Protagonist and Troupe pandering

I wanted to like this book, it was my first fiction of the Summer. But the personality of the the main character was narrow and disjointed. Each story line in the book however big or small got the same air time. They were not prioritised. it felt like she was trying to build tension for some reveals but they were glaringly obvious. Also, there were no strong female characters that reflected friendship between women realistically. On the one hand Charlotte was meant to be strong and determined and on the other hand she was a push over and inconsequential....but yet people found her special and attractive? Just not good.

Love that all her books are interconnected!

Having read all Sophie Ranald’s books & this being the last, I was pleasantly surprised at how all the other characters I’d read about popped up in this and made me enjoy the book even more!

Lots of surprises

I liked this book the narrator was very good and her voices for each character were relatable. The story is good with a few surprises. At some points I didn’t want to turn it off.

Very slow

I’m having to stop listening to this book because I keep daydreaming and missing what’s happening. Not much missed though as it’s very slow. The narrator is very good though with her different accents. Despite that I give up I’m afraid
