Then:
The heavens exploded and rained destruction down upon the world of Palar, hurling the Gods from their thrones and shattering their kingdoms.
The world of Palar died that day but humanity did not. Thousands of survivors eventually found themselves drawn to the strange city of Horizon, which was built from pieces of fallen heaven and hell.
Humanity found shelter there, and they found hope.
They also found their gods.
Now:
Kel Lothless is a sorcerer for hire. He’s also a part time troubleshooter, with a well known dislike for the Gods that run Horizon.
When a group of priests called Maskers try to hire him, he discovers a secret that changes everything he knows about the city of Horizon, and finds the answers that could destroy his world.
Kel has to work fast to solve a mystery that threatens the Last City, but he’s not alone. Because to find the answers, he has the help of a mysterious alchemist, the masked priests of the Goddess of Love, and a zombie necromancer priest.
It's a tale of murder, deceit, and of magic best left alone, and a secret that, when revealed, will change the face of Palar forever....
Again.
