I absolutely loved all of the Darren Shan saga. Not just your average 'vampire' story and it comes with plenty of twists and turns. It may be aimed at a much younger audience , but it didn't feel silly or childish to me (a 27 year old woman).

The audiobook has been well narrated by Ralph and I definitely plan on listening (or reading) again. I have already reccommend this saga to several of my book (and audiobook) loving friends.

The only downside, Darren seems to shout and exclaim a lot in some of the earlier books (but I guess he is a child/teen) which can take some getting used to. Doesn't detract from the story overall.

I can not believe the twist and turns and surprises that have happened in this story after 12 books I still want more this must be the best series of books I’ve ever listened to please listen/read all these books for a fantastic journey wish I could give it more stars

A brilliant series. I listened one after the other. It was a great way to pass the time at work. Some parts of the story were predictable but it was still an engaging listen. Also loved that all the books were included so I could listen for free.

Fantastic series that I enjoyed as a teenager and loved rediscovering as an adult.
If you guys want more, there’s a set of 4 prequel books following Larten Crepsley before the events of Cique du Freak. Highly recommended reading them, unfortunately they’re not on audible but again, they’re well worth the read.
