Wrong narrator
Keira Grace is a good narrator.......for books with American characters. Unfortunately, accents deriving from the British Isles are not a strength, which makes me wonder why she was chosen to narrate this book. The characters need a range of accents from Trent and Becca’s cut glass privately educated English, through Wendy’s less posh tones and to Dale’s broad Glaswegian. None of them are really nailed here and poor Dale’s accent is murdered. It’s a good book, not one of the author’s best, but solid. It deserves more from it’s audible performance. Where is the marvellous Nicola Victoria Vincent who did such a great job with Dale and Becca’s story and the Royal series?

Good story almost ruined by shocking narration
I love Jenny Frame books and I have all of them on e-book and audio and this is still a great story and I loved catching up with Dale and Becca from Unexpected. And there’s the rub the Scottish accent was done so well in book one and is so awful in this one. It swings from Irish to Italian and beyond it doesn’t even come close to Glasgow. If that sounds like something that would take you out of the story stick with e-book or paperback.

loved storyline
I was particularly interested in this novel because it picked up on characters from my favorite Jenny Frame novel, Unexpected. But it was really hard to listen. Even if I weren't so used to having Nicola Victoria Vincent reading Ms Frame's novels, I would still hate the narration. The accent sounded so fake and jarring it spoilt it for me.

Ridiculous Narration
I really hate to leave bad reviews, but, Keira Grace's fake English accent is terrible and there is no word negative enough to describe her Scottish accent. I love Jenny Frame's books and one of the best things about her books is Nicola Victoria Vincent. I also think it is the ultimate sin to change the narrator in a series, such as was done here in this 2nd book and Frame's wolf series and it is blasphemy when done in a 10th book, such as Radclyffe's Honor series, I still haven't bought though I own other nine I'm so insulted by how little BBB cares for their audience it feels like. I have noticed out of no where all of a sudden this Keira Grace is narrating a bunch of books for Bold Strokes Books as if they got a cheap contract with her or something, God I hope it's a short one or they break it because I'm not a fan of her American un-accent either and it is ruining a bunch of books/series'. Please Frame respect your own work enough to hold out for a voice worthy of it and that is never gonna be Grace. What really is upsetting is that the powers that be heard Grace's terrible accents and cared for the customer so little that they allowed her to narrate this book anyway. Screw the fans! I have seen Grace's reviews so I know I am not a lone voice, BBB should be careful not to take their audience for granted. I have been a huge fan and consumer of BBB books for a couple of decades now and it pains me to be so harsh but it is so soundly deserved.

cute story
very cute story. I genuinely love this narrator but British accents ( English and Scottish in this case) were not it!
But the story was cute enough to pull me in. Though some word emphasis made me cringe
I'd still listen to a million books narrated by KG no problem. Just not English books.
As always love Jenny Frame. Her Butch women always make me drool :)

Loved it! Now on Team Trent
First let me say that when I first learned that there would be a sequel to Expected focusing on Trent, I was a bit disappointed. Trent was not a character that I liked so didn’t see myself connecting with her story. I was totally incorrect. I absolutely loved this story!! Jenny Frame made me understand her behavior and really care about her. Trent and Wendy are an adorable couple and their love story captured my heart-Alice & Noah completed the package 😀. I also enjoyed seeing Dale and Becca again. The narration was good with the exception of the Scottish accent. The narrator did a great job with Trent and Wendy’s voices but was spotty with Dale’s Scottish accent. However, it didn’t take away how great this story was. It takes a talented writer to make readers connect and care about a character that was no where close to being liked in a previous story. Bravo Jenny Frame!! I’m firmly on Team Trent 😀👍🏾

The Accents are atrocious!
This narrator should never ever try to do Accents. Her Scottish accent sounds like Indian, her British is mixed with American and she has problems pronouncing words.
I have listened to each of the author's previous books at least six times, but this one will be in the 'forget' pile.I can't listen to it again. I'm very disappointed.

I love Jenny Frame books and this is a wonderful addition. I loved the story itself and will get the ebook, however I was a little disappointed with the narrator. In particular her voice for Dale, to me it sounded more Indian than Scottish. Overall a wonderful story, just lacking a with the accents.

Another great book from Jenny Frame
Loved the story, great well developed characters. Narration was not at its best, although I gave it 5 stars, in a way it was to made up and that was not flowing well. But in all this was a great listening.
