Here is the story of two families, branches of the Solomons, transported to an alien land. Both branches eventually grow rich and powerful. But through three generations, the families never, for one moment, relinquish their hatred for each other. This novel is also the story of Australia, from its beginnings to its coming of age as a nation.©2013 Christine Courtenay (P)2014 Bolinda Publishing Pty Ltd Genre Fiction Historical Fiction Literary Fiction Kurgu Düşündürücü Afrika

Eleştirmen yorumları

"Narrator Humphrey Bower doesn't miss a nuance. His villains have a sharp, nasal nastiness, and his love scenes tickle the hairs at the nape of the neck. Bower's performance is spot-on." ( Audiofile)

Another stunning performance by Humphrey Bowers 😊
I have recently discovered Bryce's writings and he has to be amongst my favourite authors. I have listened to the complete Australian trilogy in less than 2 months as I simply couldn't put it down. I cant recomnend it high enough

Highly recommended

I read all three books and was sorry when it ended. What an amazing author to combine history with such a novel. Well done Mr. Courtney. These books and the Solomon family will stay with me for a long time. I know when REMEMBRANCE DAY comes in the future I will remember how brave the ANZAC were. I laughed and cried my way through nearly 70 hours of listening and would do it all again. No words can really describe how amazing it was.

Amazing, enthralling, BRILLIANT

Great story and highlights the futility of war and colossal waste of life. But we never learn from history and it continues today.

EXCELLENT
