Summary

Nominated Best Fantasy Romance by Gravetell Reader's Choice Awards.

I'll never forget the first time I saw them, warriors moving like shadows from the trees. Their eyes seemed to glow with a fierce golden light, moving more like beasts than men. I trembled, every hair on my flesh prickled in the age old response of the hunted. They were predators and I was prey.

They entered the clearing and brought with them the smell of blood. Clad in furs and leather, bristling with weapons, they were warriors the likes of which I'd never seen. Huge, hulking forms, dark shapes pricked with those glowing pairs of eyes.

I could not face them properly, for I was bound to a tree, in the middle of a wilderness, helpless as I waited to be sold to the Berserkers.

When Brenna's father sells her to a band of passing warriors, her only thought is to survive. She doesn't expect to be claimed by the two fearsome warriors who lead the Berserker clan. Kept in captivity, she is coddled and cared for, treated more like a savior than a slave. Can captivity lead to love? And when she discovers the truth behind the myth of the fearsome warriors, can she accept her place as the Berserkers' true mate?

Sexy sexy sexy!

From the word go, Lee Savino has provided a sensual, sexy and sweet story that leaves you wanting more. Luckily this is only the start of the series. With a little spanking and some sensual play, this menage is surprisingly emotional and even a little sweet (which is rather surprising considering the story includes not one but two berserkers). Brenna has lost the ability to speak but her thoughts are intense, which, in turn, adds an intense element to her experiences. It certainly leaves the readers wishing they had two attentive, dominant berserker lovers too!

Robert Ross's narration is pretty well matched to the story. His voice adds a calm, deep quality to the storytelling that both fits the warriors' behaviour towards Brenna and is incongruous with the perceived wild nature of the berserkers.

Overall the story is enjoyable especially if you like your men large, just a little bit wild and not above meting out a spanking!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

Dark and Steamy romance

I am usually not a fan of this type of romance story line. Even though I enjoy some paranormal romance , I have not connected with warewolf books in the past. Yet, the description summary and the sample of the narrator's voice, made me want to try this book. To my surprise, I loved it. This author creates a beautiful love story using some dark elements. There is cliff hanger. Sold and Mated are one complete story. the remaining 3 books are more stand alone, but really need to be read in order. please note, there is some dark and rough sexual elements that might not appeal to everyone.

Steamy!!

I really enjoyed this book. It is a quick read but I thought that the story offered a gripping blend of poignancy, sweetness and steam. In spite of its length, I felt the book had some complexity to it simply because it had so much going on emotionally. The book quickly pulls you in and has your heart just aching for Brenna. Her life has not been easy. She has seen more than her fair share of tragedy, misfortune and mistreatment. I thought that Samuel and Daegen were quite hot and I loved the kindness and care that they showed Brenna. There is ménage, some D/s and light spanking in this book. If those are turn-offs for you this book is not for you. I loved the narrator featured on this book. I thought he did a wonderful job and I found his voice to be very sexy. In my opinion it made a good read even better.

Beautifully written short story

First off: yes, lack of consent bothered me. Though given the time period and situation I think it was handled well and the men were about as gracious about it as they could be.
This felt somewhat like a fairy tale but more grounded. It was wonderfully written and though the steady narration would usually bother me, it fit well for the story and the feel. Nothing was surprising but it flowed and unfurled calmly and satisfyingly. Well worth the money and I'm likely relisten to it in the future.

I just loved the Scottish accent of the narrator!
A well written and well narrated story. Be Wisked away by two Scott warriors and relax and enjoy! I’d recommend this book to anyone over the age of 21.

Quick and enjoyable

I enjoyed this very much and the Scottish accent really fit well. I did wish it had a female narrator for some parts. I really liked the story and have enjoyed reading the books on this series.

Loved it.

I'm a big fan of Lee Savino's Berserker and draekon romance books.

I was super excited to find her books on audible. Yay.

At first I was a little disappointed that there was only bad male voice but now I'm super happy about it.

He has a wonderful, growly voice. And of course the accent makes it seem more authentic and historical too.
