Buy this, you won't regret it!

Buy this, you won't regret it! I got this with hopes of shining a new light on the way that I do social networking for the business group I work for. I found it extremely helpful to go chapter by chapter and compare my social network and approach alongside what I was learning. I've read through this book multiple times and plan to reread it anytime I feel I need to realign my thinking.

A game of 2 halves

the first step part on social media is teaching your gran to suck eggs. it's nothing you don't already know. it's a 1or 2 star book. the book on personal branding has more info that is useful, I'll relisten to the second book , I think it has some good tips.

I am very happy with this purchase

This audiobook is giving me just the right amount of information about using social media for marketing my small architecture firm. The content is a perfect mix of theory and practice, providing a framework for understanding social media marketing and achievable steps for actually putting it into practice.

The author starts by giving a high level overview of how to think about social media marketing in a chapter titled The Importance of Social Media. As he states, the chapter explains the "distinction between 'attending' the social media party and 'throwing' the social media."

He then moves into chapters on Paid Facebook Marketing, Why Use Instagram in 2019, Organic Instagram Marketing, Paid Instagram Marketing, Paid YouTube Marketing, Organic Twitter Marketing, Paid Twitter Marketing and an Epilogue. These chapters never send you deep into-the-weeds on needlessly technical details, but do bring you up-to-speed quickly and give you clear TO DOs and step-by-step instructions. There are also pertinent tools and resources near the end of each chapter.

I like the straightforward presentation of the material in each chapter. The tone is upbeat and humorous.

My only constructive critique is that the cover photo seems at odds with the content. Although the image does show the "can-do" attitude of the book, it does not really convey the business side of it.

I have never given social media marketing much thought, but this audiobook is actually making it interesting and easily accessible. I am very happy with this purchase. It is meeting my needs

helpful resources

This is just the book I have been looking for to help my public health team develop a digital strategy on a shoestring. I recently just paid a lot of money to a contractor to give us a digital strategy, which left us with not a lot to concretely execute. Wish I had known of your books before spending way too much money on that! I really appreciate the breakdown by channel and the To Do lists and all of the helpful resources throughout the book. While I know a thimble full of random things about social media, this really ties up nicely all the pieces for me in a nice little bow.

As a complete novice in social marketing

As a complete novice in social marketing, this book alone has already given me assurance that marketing online is merely hard work...but it is NOT complex. This audiobook manages to reveal the big picture, while also providing practical details AND tons of free tools to get your ideas, products, and services out there. And these strategies are not short term fixes. They include principles that will assure evergreen campaigns.

Luckily I found this audiobook

I'm of pensionable age but can't afford not to work.Which means I have to keep up with the times and I haven't so I took the plunge and decided I need to understand and conquer social media marketing. That's when I entered it's unfathomable maze of self proclaimed experts, gurus and the answer to world peace.
Luckily I found this audiobook and am currently listening to it word for word and, at the same time, drafting my social media marketing plan. Firstly, it's audiable. It's understandable. It takes you from A to B to C. I am learning about a landscape I didn't even know existed. I'm on my way to actually doing what I should have done years ago.

did an excellent job of guiding me

I consider myself a beginner who really resists marketing, and even with just getting on board with social media in general. This book, however, did an excellent job of guiding me through the processes. I appreciate that so much! I found most chapters were relevant and helpful, with timely prompts for review, and tools and downloadable sheets for exploring further.

Good for beginner

I couldn't get through the first two chapters. Someone unfamiliar with digital marketing may get something out of this book.

I would HIGHLY recommend this book

I would HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who is trying to dip their toes in the social media marketing field and looking to dig deeper as you get more comfortable in what you are doing as well as how you are doing it.
I recommend this book to anyone who wants to use personal branding more actively and effectively to market!
As a student, I have a lot of experience with books trying to teach you the most effective ways to market your brand/company. I love this book's approach! It's interactive format makes it easy to apply the steps and the to do really make you accountable. The book goes into depth in how to create social media pages which I think would be useful for people who aren't familiar with social media but want to use it to their advantage for marketing.

This audiobook is very well organized

I have just stepped into a role in marketing for my company and was looking for a something to use as a guide while I start finding my way through social media. I have grown up with social media as a resource staple but still wasn't quite familiar in how to adjust my experience to match what I am expecting for my company's profile. This audiobook is very well organized - things that I wouldn't have even considered have been included in the guide and every bit of advice and guidance is relevant to what I am trying to achieve.

I really like this book

I really like this book, it has really good information regarding marketing and sales. You don't want to just keep throwing punches without knowing where you doing you want to throw Jabs and then the right hook afterwards. This technique will create a better environment for your clients to connect with you and make sales.

This will be my reference book

Great information. Got a better understanding on how the different social media outlets are to be used. I didn't understand it beforehand but have a better grasp of it now. This will be my reference book. So glad I came across this book. Outstanding for people starting a business to learn social media.

Noting new or exciting here. I stopped in the second chapter - I couldn't handle the bad narration any longer to see if the content improved as the book went on.

Great books! Very helpful.

These books (Social Media Marketing & Personal Branding Secrets) very both very helpful and easy to digest. I listened to them both in one day, taking plenty of notes for action items to implement. If you’re building a new or existing business (or are simply trying to build your own personal brand), I highly recommend giving this a listen. Not to mention, you’re essentially getting two quality books for the price of one.

Fluff

Just fluff. Couldn't really find anything of substance. Also, the narrator speaks painfully slow. Just seemed like a book of stating the obvious. No strategies or anecdotes. Note that I couldn't get past Ch. 5 so my review is up to that point.
