Summary

Social anxiety is a prison that holds us back from being our best self. It’s time to break free.

We’ve all been there at some point in our lives; washed by a feeling of uneasiness when talking to unfamiliar people. Even worse if it’s a crowd.

In Social Anxiety, you’ll learn:

  • The factors that contribute to your social anxiety - so you can eliminate them
  • How to handle rejection and come out on top
  • How to stop worrying about what others think about you
  • To develop conversational confidence so you never freeze up
  • Tactics to use in real life situations we all face
  • And how improve your self esteem

There’s nothing wrong with wanting to take some time for yourself and be alone for a while.

If you’ve been searching for a way to cure your social anxiety, then the formula for that is in this audiobook.

Have you ever seen someone who despite not being very attractive physically seemed to attract others of the opposite sex? Have you ever noticed someone in your workplace who doesn't really know much about your position, but always gets increments? Have you ever noticed that some people seem to be able to captivate anyone with whom they engage in conversation and can easily make friends?

What do these people have? One word: confidence.

If you have confidence in yourself, nothing more is needed. Confidence is something that is perceived by others.

In Self Esteem Workbook, you'll learn how much confidence you actually possess, why you can have confidence, the destroyers of confidence, as well as the builders of confidence.

For you to achieve greater confidence, you must nevertheless be open to change. Confidence can be learned, but it involves leaving your comfort zone and learning to make certain changes in your behavior patterns.

Very disappointing and incredibly superficial

I literally remained shocked when the author bring the example of Trump as a confident successful person to take as an inspiration.
What on earth are you thinking?? Which kind of messages is this person sending out to the public. And literally wait until the end to bring out it’s final idea. This is absolutely disgusting..
Shame on you...!!!!

Highly recommended.

I highlighted literally half the book. It was almost like it was written specifically about and for me. I've suffered from social anxiety for as long as I can remember, and this book gave me hope and helped me see that I'm not fundamentally flawed or broken. Highly recommended.

load of pretentious crap

Useless American narrator made me feel even more anxious, and what the hell is he doing, going on about granny smith apples for half an hour.

Very helpful and informative

My expectaion was to learn some techniques to decrease my social anexiety. I could note down usefull strategies by the end of this book. Although there are series of common knowledge about anexiety and confidence and a bit of repeatition but the authour has explained the chapters in a very structured and teaching manner that I could relate and remember. I specially enjoyed the last two chapters about improving the self-confidence.
The narrator was very good engaged with a nice reading speed

Excellent book.

This book cuts straight to the heart of what causes shyness then tells you exactly what to do about it. The second part is really what sets this book apart. To get the most out of the book, it's important to listen actively and do the explained exercises, but it's even more important to do social experiments. They are incredibly liberating and are essential to reinforce everything the book teaches.

Good approach.

Excellent writing and easy to understand. Anxiety is a condition where one is in a troubled state of nervousness. It is a state of undesirable feelings of fear or uncertainty over the future similar to the feeling of imminent death.

Had me until stopping life saving meds and Trump vs Oprah.

Time for an update folks? Perhaps? Really? real confidence is earned like Trump and manifests as weight in Oprah? I loved this book until that point. Stop, delete and never listen to the book until author and publisher get a clue. Oh and the 7 mentions of getting off anti depressants.. do you know what you’re saying to people with real chemical depression? Green tea is not the same. This is a dangerous book. Loved it and lived it for a week until I almost quit my antidepressant and disavowed Oprah to worship Trump. Dangerous dangerous dangerous.

Very effective audio-book & quick to follow

Super helpful and easy to follow along. It transports the idea of self-compassion to a tangible practice. It has helped me quell my inner-critic and has also helped me to stop living in comparison. I especially love the distinction between self-esteem and self-compassion.

My favorite audio-book.

It is always possible to change your thoughts and to learn to value yourself. Our past does not have to dictate our future. The only thing that matters is how we act today.

Good for working through minor issues!

I will admit, this audio-book was more dense than what i was prepared for. It has challenged me to open up to myself and truly work through my anxiety issues. It still isn't the same as a therapist, but it is a wonderful start.

One step at a time!

A detailed workbook to make you feel stressed and worried. My psychiatrist had suggested this. So, so good so far.
