as in my review of the first volume this series is performed amazingly. the only negative is that there are not more volumes translated and on audible yet!

love the place

I listened to the first book pretty much in a single day. I really enjoyed the 1st book, and have been enjoying this one. But there was a real problem that made me want to turn the book off... Filimøs' voice characterisation made it hard to get through.

It was not cute, endearing, or just meant to "seem" annoying, but you can deal with it via the performance not actually going full annoying. It was literally aggravating.

But whilst the rest of the voices the narrator uses are fine. Filimøs just did not work well. she had a large section of dialogue, and it was so grating and frustrating as I was trying to work... I had to really resist switching the book off.

Also sometimes the amount of skill/leveling listing can become a bit obnoxious to the point of feeling like padding. Though I know why it is there. Yet with the sheer volume of level/skill ups, they blur into one and I can't even keep up with what skills have changed. Luckily anything that is of note will be spoken about after the shopping list finishes getting read.

Appart from those two issues, I enjoyed the book and am still looking forward to upcoming books. However if nothing else, I really hope Filimøs drops the strange speech pattern.
