In 1950s Liverpool, five very different girls begin their training at St Angelus Hospital, in Lovely Lane. The nurses are known locally as the Angels. They are Dana, Victoria, Beth, Celia and Pammy, and at St Angelus they learn quickly about life in all its richness and its sorrow. The Angels must battle through the snow to save Victoria's baby and young doctor Teddy Davenportbegins to make some serious mistakes...Touching, heartbreaking, and often humorous too, this great series is a rich tapestry about poverty, sacrifice, and community spirit, set in post-war Liverpool in the early days of the NHS.©2019 Nadine Dorries (P)2019 Head of Zeus Genre Fiction Historical Fiction Kadın Kurgu Kurgu Medical World Literature Romantik Aşırı duygusal Esprili

Great read, but I was a little confused to begin with as Maisie Tanner’s name has been changed for some reason. Was this a mistake?

I believe this is the best book I’ve listened to on Audible. It kept my attention throughout not just because of the story but the excellent narration by Georgia Maguire. I’m going to seek out some other books by Nadine Dorries 👏

Wonderful & Captivating Story
