About this listen

All Blake Crawford wants is to pass his creative writing course, get his university degree, and take over his dad's ailing family business. What Amanda Newland wants is to graduate at the top of her class, as well as finish her novel and prove to her family that writing is a respectful career.

What Blake and Amanda don't want is to be paired up with each other for their final project, but that's exactly what they both get when they're forced to collaborate on a writing piece. Since Amanda thinks Blake is an arrogant jerk (with a panty-melting smirk and British accent) and Blake thinks Amanda has a stick up her (tight, round) bottom, they fight tooth and nail. That is, until they discover they write well together. They also might find each other really attractive, but that's neither here nor there.

When their writing project turns out to be a success, the two of them decide to start up a secret partnership using a pen name, infiltrating the self-publishing market in the lucrative genre of erotica. Naturally, with so much heat and passion between the pages, it's not long before their dirty words become a dirty reality.

Contains mature themes.

it was engaging and offered both points of view and had a beautiful plot with relatable scenarios.

loved it

Brilliant book! I enjoyed the tone and acting of the narrators even if the accents at times could do with a little bit of looking at - but it wasn’t all that distracting and I’d always prefer a great story teller with sometimes sus accents to bad acting!
Brilliant book! Deserves way more hype!

Great story! Brilliant plot and really believable characters! Loved it!

Easy listen, fun story. Love the love!
Didn’t love the narrators but didn’t hate them. I think I would have loved this book if it was narrated by a sexier vocal. Great spice.

Fun story

I love Karina Halle and all of her books. This twist on a smutty novel is fantastic.

However, as a Brit myself, I had to google the male narrator and couldn't believe he wasn't Australian. He was so dry...in every way.

Female narrator was great and was unfortunately so jarring when it was Blake's chapters and I completely lost interest that I actually skipped them and read the chapters in the book.

Excellent book, Male narrator poor

I love how the book makes fun about its own genre. Easy, pleasant listening. Narrators are brilliant. I had to get used to the men’s voice at first but he definitely grew on me and the way he narrates is very good.
Will listen to more books by this author and narrators.

Great book- super funny
