A new chapter starting

Format: audiobook
Narrator: Holly Adams
I’ve enjoyed this book much more, I found Agent Sidney Shaw much more likeable in this story, I think she may have chilled out a bit of I’ve just got used to her lol.
The end of the last book seemed to be a turning point and this story brings about a new chapter for them all it seems!
Entertaining, attention grabbing and intrigue, we get a tiny glimpse of who ‘they’ are well, at least one of them, I look forward to finding out more.
I’m really enjoying this narrator she’s easy to listen to and delivers the dialogue well.

I will add that chapter 18 is actually chapter 18 from the previous book. The author has been informed.

Excellent

Action, action, and more action. The story is no stop entertainment with mystery and mayhem. Love the characters though this one pulled on my heart strings. The narrator did a great job! Only one problem; chapter 18 is from the prior book. The author has been notified. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and and have voluntarily left this review.

Book four of the Smoke Series

Smoke in the Water is the fourth book in Craig Halloran's Supernatural Bounty Hunter Files series, and won't make much sense without reading the previous novels.

This novel reveals more about our favorite agent Sidney Shaw, and her family life. I feel this helps humanize her, and creates some characterization. Most of her characterization, up to this point, has been in relation to Smoke. Though this book does see them team up, the focus is definitely on Shaw. This novel shows Shaw working with those among the bureau, and reveals much about how she trusts. She works with agents Rebecca, and Cyrus, with whom she has a contentious relationship. The trio have started an investigation about a pair of criminal brothers.

Mr. Halloran has truly outdone himself this time. The characters are rich, and full of life. Though the narrator, Holly Adams, is the true star of the show. She elevates the work from good, to excellent. Her tones, and pacing make the world so real to me.

She is a narrator to watch!

I recommend this series to fans of Thomas Harris, Laurell K Hamilton, Dean Koons, Black List, Film Noir, True Crime, & Supernatural.
