It is a guide on starting your own company.

Through his trial and tribulations he speaks from mostly personal experience when he purveys his ideas on the entrepreneurial journey. In this case, his journey and subjective experiences are immensely important.

The book is Coupled With Advices.

It is clearly organized so that I could skip to the parts that spoke to me. It is written without business slang or condescension. It has a story-line, unlike the ordinary textbook. It reiterates its lessons as chapter summaries and as a to-do list for the budding entrepreneur.

Must know when and how to start new business.

The lessons start with the title itself, How to Start a Business, like myself, begin entrepreneurial ventures with grand ideas of saving the world and making money while doing. The authors make it clear that this mind set is essential for entrepreneurs, but the first lesson any entrepreneur must learn is that in order to have the impact they wish, they must

Teaches how to make money

Instead of strictly stating lessons, the authors do a wonderful job of framing all lessons in the context of personal stories. This is extremely beneficial as it allows the reader to relate their own circumstances to the stories and learn in a way that is geared towards their specific situation.

Another awesome resource from Mark Smith.

Another awesome resource from Mark Smith. Not only does he provide an overview of what financial and management accounting are but he also points out why each are used and any limitations. In this book, you will find all the business analysis tools (ratios) you will ever need for cashflow, solvency, liquidity, leverage, activity, and more! He explains which ratios to use and why and the limitations of each one.

Best One

Army regulations, as if that would be a comparison that would make sense to most people, rather than the relatively small percentage of the population who have military experience. I thought was a strange choice, even if it wasn't so obscure as to be impossible to understand.

Worth it

Accounting Principles, Financial Accounting, and Management Accounting. They explain, in short and concise chapters, what accounting is and how it works. Even if it only allows entrepreneurs to speak the language their accountant uses, or convinces them that they need an accountant in the first place, it would be worth it.
