yes, but i fell asleep (due to an over indulgence of gin) but will re-listen to it again and again

Philip Mould has a gripping story to tell of hunting down great paintings disguised by years of poor restoration and overpainting to the point where original attributions have been lost. He tells it in an absolutely fascinating way by striking a lovely balance between the mechanics of how the art world works; the craft of picture restoration and the characters who work in it. The style is accessible and charming and overall it was a pleasure to listen to.

A lover of Philip Mould’s Fake or Fortune show on the BBC I spotted this and thought I’d give it a go and very pleased I did! Thoroughly informative and interesting looking into the life of a London art dealer. I particularly found interesting the early part when as a relatively new rookie Philip travelled to America and met with a particularly interesting character!
