Riordan is everything you’d expect—dangerous, brooding, and just the right amount of morally questionable. And the heroine? She’s no pushover. She’s smart, capable, and determined, even when her past crashes into her present in the most explosive way possible.
The mix of action, betrayal, and slow-burn romance kept me hooked. The plot twists and high stakes had me on edge the whole time, and the dynamic between these two was electric.
One small note: as an Irish person, I really wish authors would pick actual Irish voice actors for Irish characters. The fake accents can be so distracting and take you right out of the story. It’s a small thing, but it makes a big difference!.
