practical advice

This audio book has given me some practical advice that is helping. While not diagnosed yet, I think I have some adrenal fatigue issues. I wake up like clockwork twice a night and am wide awake and very alert. Last night was the first night in probably a month where I slept better. The things I've implemented from the audio book has helped me are: totally blacking my room, taking some new supplements - magnesium powder (night calm), eliminating all and holy basil tea just before bed. I've also tweaked my diet big time and am no longer starving myself of carbs. Lastly I'm mediating and listening a good fiction book just before bed. Sleep is so critical, yet so hard for some of us to adequately get. The audio book is well, easy to follow and very engaging. Highly recommended!

It's fairly straight forward and has a lot ...

There's not a whole lot of "fluff" to this audio book which is nice. It's fairly straight forward and has a lot of good information. I started utilizing the information and can honestly say that it's helped my sleep some.

Relaxation Techniques audio book

I recommend this audio book for anyone dealing with health issues, not just sleep issues; sleep is crucial for the immune system and repairing your body. You will learn how to make sure you are setting yourself up for the best sleep possible. The "power tips" at the end of each chapter make for easy reference and also drive the points home. The author sense of humor and insight kept me entertained and engaged with the content. Overall, he has empowered me to own my health and take the necessary steps in order to sleep better.

The KEY to everything. Litterally.

I've never been more compelled to finish a audio book, and this audio book just got me hooked. Not only does he let you know about technology and where that creates impact, but he makes sure to include the "why's" and always makes sure to credit others with his research. I have so much respect for this dude! You can tell this is a genuine audio book that was listening with the idea to help and inspire people all over.

Bedtime stories

This audio book makes a lot of sense about what proper sleep can do for your health. On rare occasion, I have gotten 8 hrs of sleep and I felt marvelous. It,s difficult to implement because my body is use to only 5-6 hours of sleep, even when I retire early I wake 3-4 hours later. The question, now, is how to stay asleep.

Will improve your sleep and your life

I've listen a lot on nutrition, exercise and health and thought I knew enough about sleep. Turns out a lot of the tips on this audio book were either new to me, or provided me research and backing for things I'd heard were damaging to my body's ability to get a good night's sleep, but had questioned due to a lack of science to back the claims. My husband and I follow this a few chapters a night over a week and really appreciated the format, for chapters we already were pretty solid on, we could read the power tips and move on, but for areas that provided new information to us, we took the time to listen the whole chapter.

New insights for a long term health seeker

We appreciated the author's sense of humor and practicality - for example, giving options for how to continue having coffee, vs. all or nothing solutions, and other "hacks" to help us integrate suggestions in our every day lives that can't always accommodate a perfect implementation.

Information audio book

The Model Health Show that is just as amazing (for lack of a better word) as his audio book. Reading this book has armed me with the knowledge to change my life and I have bought audio books for some of my brothers and sisters that I have had the pleasure to serve with. See, the information contained in the audio book is not information that you keep for yourself. It is information that you SHARE, SHARE, SHARE!

Essential information

For at least 2 decades, I've been struggling to act on the advice I got from a doctor: that the most important thing I could do to improve my health was to make sure I was getting adequate, high-quality sleep. I have tried various strategies, but have never succeeded in sticking with any of them long enough to make a long-term difference. A lot of his suggestions were not news to me - but he provides the scientific explanation for why they work, and this has made a world of difference in my ability to motivate myself to stick with it. I'm still in the beginning stages of transforming my sleep, but feel more confident than I ever have that I finally have the tools to do it right!

Is not just about sleep, is about general health

I have sleep disorders, and I went to a university to apply for some sleep treatment. The results were that I don’t have any sleep problem. That’s not the way I feel. I cannot be in bed and fall asleep. I waste lot of time in bed for being sleep. This audio book really have the best habits for improve your sleep. And the reasons are very good explained. The problem for me is that I travel a lot, and my work hours are not stable(one day I have to work at 5pm and another day 2am). I have only healthy meals, and do workout in the gym. But I cannot do all my activities in that order. If you have a more stable life and can follow all the recommendations by the audio book, it will be wonderful.

An engaging, well-researched and actionable

This is hands down one of the most insightful and well-researched books I've listen on sleep. It was a very engaging and provided a lot of small tips and tricks that I'm looking forward to putting into practice. The author starts out with his own personal story and moves into a more technical and scientific discussion of the inner workings of how sleep affects our bodies - a theme that continues throughout the book. My favorite aspect of the book was the Power Tips scattered throughout the chapters, which gave real, actionable insights on how we can better ourselves through sleep. And while the bonus section does provide more direct resources many of the tips are either free or cost-effective and really provide direct steps and actions you can take.

A great tips

OH MY GOD, this is literally the best self help book i have ever listened to. I was constantly learning, and learning in SIMPLE terms. It was all very easy to absorb and so exciting! I have been trying out a lot of the strategies and I have definitely noticed an increase in my sleep quality. Seriously try this you will not be disappointed. One really cool thing is the author (And reader on audible) has lived as an overweight, sick, unhappy person and rose above all of it! It's nice learning all of these tips from someone who has been in your shoes.
