Summary

After a long and gruelling conflict, the traitors at last close upon Terra. But time is dwindling for an attack.

Both Guilliman and the Lion are returning with all haste, and their armies could turn the tide. The hosts of the Warmaster must unite, for only then can they attack the Throneworld itself. While Mortarion is sent on ahead as the fleet’s vanguard, it falls to Lorgar and Perturabo to marshal Fulgrim and Angron, both now elevated to daemonhood and perhaps beyond even the will of the Warmaster to command. But Horus lies wounded, and, as the greatest battle the galaxy has ever know looms, it is up to Maloghurst to hold his fractious Legion together and to wrench Horus himself from the edge of oblivion.

A fantastic insight into the traitor Primarchs

A book that shows the fragility of the sons of Horus wirhout the warmaster and the traitor alliances as a whole. Also gives a great insight into the differences between the ascended and non-daemon Primarchs and their allegiances. A story that shows just how much of a knife edge the traitors were on just prior to the final assault on Terra. A must reas for heresy fans.

Bringing the band back together

A good in-depth look on how Horus prepped the siege and gathering his brothers for the final battle in spite of their differences. Although reliant on a tad many deus-ex-machinas to achieve it.

Horus fall and rise

This book advances the siege on terra and explains a lot about Horus fall to chaos and the choice he made, the side story is the petty Primarchs being even more petty than usual, I really find Angron just plain annoying, I have zero interest in the character and wish BL would banish him to the warp forevermore, as always great narration

Important For the Traitors

This book really moves the story on and highlights the dynamics of the Traitor legions. Especially the primarchs. Surprised me how good this was compared to some of the more recent books.

Fantastic driving listen

Really enjoyed the way the book was written through the eyes of characters untill now not fleshed too much in the series. The story of horus equerry was my particular favourite, someone so close to horus, and showing the legions begin to shatter and change from the standard we'll worth a listen.

A taste for a the traitor legions!

Fantastic story that was performed exceptionally well by Keeble. Decent Iron Warriors action as well as some good fights for the Sons of Horus.
