Summary

Lord of the Rings plus Breaking Bad plus The Sopranos = Skulduggery

The best part of being a human is everyone constantly underestimates you, and that means they never see it coming when your dagger plunges into their heart.

Our business is growing, but so is our list of enemies. Dwarven gangsters? The Assassins Guild? The commander of the Elven Guard?

Yup, they are all problems for us as we expand our criminal operation throughout the realm, and we gotta get rid of ‘em all if we’re going to make mountains of gold.

Fortunately, they’ll never see it coming.

Gaining Ground

This is a great addition to the series, but not as action-packed as the last book. That’s ok, because in this book we get down and gritty with the fallout from the last book. We also get some great character progression, as well as new characters and a deeper plot, and a very interesting ending. Consider this the clutch and shift for the next leg of the race. Still very intriguing and fascinating.

I hate that this is so good!

I must say that you Mr. Jacobs are the bane of my sleep. You continue to write and fully immersive tale. The twists and turns of the story keep me entertained and on the edge of my seat. Every action and thought is believed.

The audio book has a wonderful duo. Really a great narration, to actually laugh and sniffle when appropriate is amazing. And using the sound affects of the baby Dragon are the best. Please continue to work together on this project and others!

great good great

Very fun still, even on the 3rd book.
Main narration is still a touch over dramatic with his enthusiastic enunciation, doesn't detract but is noticeable.

Another great book

I really enjoyed this book. another great one in the series. Still not my favorite narrator and some errors in the editing of the narration, but good nonetheless.
