Loved the book. Made me aware just a little more of how AWEFUL the days in Afghanistan must have been for everyone - from the troops stationed there to the local People. And coming home didn’t mean that the experiences were forgotten. Very far from it. A humbling read.

This woman can really write. It's a beautifully written love story set against the background of military service in Afghanistan and life immediately afterwards. Good to see a novel set against a military background where the protagonists are not stereotyped as either brutes or victims, nicely done.
