Summary

Two sisters, one dangerous truth....

One hot August night, Rachel Darcy gets the call everyone fears. It's the police. Her younger sister Evie's had a car crash; she's in a coma. Can Rachel fly to London right away?

With Evie injured and comatose, Rachel is left to pick up the pieces of her sister's life. But it's hard fitting them together, especially when she really doesn't like what she sees. Why was Evie driving when she doesn't even own a license? Who is the man living in her flat and claiming Evie is his girlfriend? How come she has never heard of him?

The more mysteries Rachel uncovers, the more she starts asking herself how well she ever really knew her sister. And then she begins to wonder if the crash was really the accident everybody says it is. Back in hospital, Evie, trapped inside an unresponsive body, is desperately trying to wake up. Because she's got an urgent message for Rachel - a warning that could just save both their lives....

Difficult to believe characters

The two sisters are in mourning which in part may excuse their vulnerability. However I found them too vulnerable and gullible to believe in.
I liked the plot for providing a range of red herrings.

Enjoyable listen

I wasn't sure what to expect but did enjoy the book and the narration.

Nothing out of the ordinary but nonetheless still worth a listen - I found myself wanting to know what was going to happen and looked forward to tuning in!

silly

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I couldnt finish this book.
Once some random stranger is buying a girl jimmy choos - whatever his motives- you just think this is nonsense and give up.

OK

I have listened to a number of these books where someone is in a coma but narrating.
This was a good story, but the endings were very convenient to tie up loose ends.

a little predictable at the end

the going from evie to Rachel made the book even better. I enjoyed the build up to the grand finale but a little disappointed with the ending

Enjoyable yarn. Kept me listening.

Whilst not the deepest novel we will ever read, it was engaging. Having said that it's not deep, it does covBit sweary in parts and the bedroom scenes are n
