interesting, gory at points but a great true crime story. I felt the story told all the details .

I am ashamed to say I didnt read this book earlier. Over the years I have picked up this book and read the prologue over and over again however did not continue due to it being too close to home.

However, since the audible version was released i have debated whether it would be easier to listen to the story. I can finally say I have sat and listened to the harrowing tales which I have only heard snippets of from the author herself since 2009.

I was 16 years old when I found out about my nan and the pieces of my mums life started to clip together. I always new that my mum, Joanne Lee, was the strongest women I knew. She is and always will be an inspiration for the mother I want to be for my own children.

Since listening to this book, it has put into perspective the amount of sacrifice she has given to me, my sister and my brother over the years and how strong she is as a mother and a "mumpie".

Growing up, me and my sister never knew anything about my mums childhood and it NEVER reflected into our own childhood.

My mum, Joanne Lee, was always there for us when needed and for the childhood she has given us, despite her own ordeal, I will be forever grateful.

Im proud of you mum and you should definitely turn this into a series or a film if ever given the chance. Love you millions and trillions 😘

This true story is gripping as it is heartbreaking, the way some people are raised by people who should never be parents is truly upsetting. This family dealt with so much and came out stronger!!
