Editor reviews
"A good audiobook for me is one that takes me on a ride that I never could have imagined, and Silent Child did exactly that. Sarah A. Denzil weaves a tale that starts with heartbreak, adds mystery and suspense, and ultimately becomes a thriller. The writing is superb and it created a blockbuster movie in my mind as I listened. Silent Child had me at the edge of my seat the entire time, and I even fell off a few times." - Sean, Audible Editor
"The premise is shocking and it compels you to find out where Sarah A. Denzil will take the story. But, where I think the author is truly genius is in the way she supports the central plot with some heartbreakingly real and genuinely flawed characters that were so obviously as fully developed in Denzil's mind as the thrilling hook that makes you choose the book in the first place. There's so much more to this one than first meets the eye." - Alexandra, Audible Editor

Summary
Winner of Audible's 2017 Narrator of the Year Award
Introducing Audible's Thriller of the Year: Silent Child by Sarah A. Denzil, performed by Joanne Froggatt.
In the summer of 2006, Emma Price watched helplessly as her six-year-old son's red coat was fished out of the River Ouse. It was the tragic story of the year - a little boy, Aiden, wandered away from school during a terrible flood, fell into the river, and drowned. His body was never recovered. Ten years later Emma has finally rediscovered the joy in life. She's married, pregnant, and in control again...until Aiden returns.
Too traumatised to speak, he raises endless questions and answers none. Where has he been? What happened to him on that rainy afternoon? And now that he's back, whom can he trust?
At Audible we love listening to crime books. But every so often one comes along that we think is truly special. An Amazon Kindle number one best-seller, Sarah A. Denzil's Silent Child is taking Audible HQ by storm. In an Audible Exclusive production, Joanne Froggatt (Mrs Bates, Downton Abbey) delivers a powerhouse performance that will keep you gripped until the very last second.

Gripping storyline & narration was spot on!
I suspected a book read by an actress such as Joanne Froggatt to be of high standards but she delivered it absolutely fantastically and performed each characters spot on! I was completely enthralled throughout by the storyline and there never seemed to be a dull moment! I hadn’t heard of this author before now but this is definitely worth purchasing you will not regret it. I’ve just finished and the sequel - also read by Joanne Froggatt came out today (what perfect timing) I have purchased it straight away. Enjoy!

Silent Child is awesome
Would you consider the audio edition of Silent Child: Audible's Thriller of the Year to be better than the print version?
I loved this book, narrator was great and the twist was unexpected. Even though the subject matter was a bit gruelling, it was dealt with well.
What about Joanne Froggatt’s performance did you like?
I though everything about her performance was spot on

Kept me on the edge of my seat.
I Whispersynced this one for times when I wasn't able to physically read, like driving, which was read by the delightful actress Joanne Froggatt, and also happens to be Audible's 'Thriller of the Year.'
Emma's child Aiden went missing ten years ago, during a flash flood that ravaged her village. He was pronounced dead after seven years missing during which time she married Jake and is expecting his child, and Aiden's father left to join the army.
Aiden reappears from the forest, and does not speak. What happened to him during this time. It seems he was abducted but cannot or will not say who had taken him and what had happened to him.
This is a story of betrayal, deception and kept me on the edge of my seat for the past 4-5 days.

Loved it
It was refreshing,For this kind of Niche there was power in not being too revealing all the thoughts were exactly how I imagine it needing to know what has happened to your Child and getting so suspicious because of the uncertainty and need to protect ,Very well performed a very good listen all round .
