About this listen

For the first time ever, a survivor tells the shocking inside story of her time trapped in Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s sex trafficking ring.

Sarah Ransome moved to New York at the age of 22 with hopes for a better life, an education, and a career in fashion. Her dreams were destroyed almost overnight when she met Jeffrey Epstein and was invited to an island paradise disguising her personal hell.

“By sharing my testimony…I hope to see both minds and laws changed. More than anything, I want to encourage a culture in which women, even if they haven’t led the perfect lives, even if they’re not proud of every one of their choices, still feel the right to stand in their truth.”

This story is her day in court.

The account was powerful and enlightening. i usually listen to a book over a long period of time but this one i purchased yesterday and had finished it within 24 hours. i have a lot to think about and my understanding of survivors of rape and trafficking. Thank you for opening up so much into your hell.

I was so touched by thus story. I am so touched at how strong the author is to have such horrific experiences throughout life yet she still stands so strong, one of the best books I've read.

Outstandingly brilliant!

I found the book interesting. Really appreciated the background and the making of a vulnerable person. Makes the predators even more evil, if possible, picking up these poor girls when there are genuinely desperate, at rock bottom. The narrator spoilt it for me though. Aggressive and staccato.

Interesting, not salacious 👍🏻

A story that is traumatic, and unbelievable but amazing to get down on to paper only for the fact that a lot of this maybe cathartic too.

The narration is very mono tone, and I would have chosen a better narrator. Story did get tedious at times as I did almost put it down on a number of occasions. I would say that it is an eye opener but not the best written.

Incredibly distressing

Ive decided to order this amazing book to read. Really admire the courageousnous of the author. However, the narrator is IMPOSSIBLE to listen to. Its sooooooo sharp and monotone.
There is no variation on intonation whatsoever!
