Summary

Becky Bloomwood is back! Becky thought being married to Luke Brandon would be one big Tiffany box of happiness. But to be honest, it's not quite as dreamy as she'd hoped. The trouble started on their honeymoon, when she told Luke the tiniest little fib, about the teeniest little purchase. Now she's on a strict budget, she doesn't have a job - and worst of all, her beloved Suze has a new best friend.

Then she receives some incredible news. She has a long-lost sister! Becky has never been more excited. Finally, a real sister! They'll have so much in common! They can go shopping together, choose shoes together, have manicures together...until she meets her and gets the shock of her life. It can't be true. Surely Becky Bloomwood's long-lost sister can't hate shopping? A sister...a soulmate...a skinflint?

Awful

Different narrator which gave the characters different personalities. Throughout the other books, Luke sounds like a calm likeable man. This Luke was very likeable at all.

The whole book seemed panicky and loud the whole way through.

Used to be better

There used to be a recording of this by Emilia Fox which was a better version. The story is still decent but this recording is missing several passages and the individual characters are not portrayed as well. Audible should’ve kept the previous one!

Spoiled by narrative

Loved reading these these books when they first came out and loved reliving the first few on audible until I got to this one and the narrator has been changed. This women stressed me out. Very loud. Everything was read in a very urgent and slightly aggressive way. Very different from the previous narrative making it feel like a different series altogether. The portrayal of Luke was just awful!

Note it's an abridge version!

I read this series 10 years ago and I therefore looked forward to hear it again, but was very disappointed to find out, that this a very short version of the actual book. I hadn't noticed our understood (as English isn't my native language) that abridge version ment hell of a lot shorter. The story is still fantastic, but doesn't give credits to the actual full story. So just have that in mind when purchasing this version!
