Summary

It’s Christmas again at St Mary's and time for Max’s obligatory illegal jump. On this occasion, however, they’re right up against it.

A loaded gun has been left behind in Ancient Egypt, and it’s up to them to retrieve it before anyone accidentally blows their own head off, thus affecting the timeline for centuries to come.

And as if that’s not enough, someone (Max) has inadvertently poisoned Mr Markham. It’s hot, they’re running out of supplies, they can’t find the gun and it’s all going horribly wrong. Again.

Short and sweet

One hour 25 minutes of light hearted entertainment - just enough time for one jump (or one commute, in my world).

Out of sync with the books I've listened to already, but it didn't detract. Set at Christmas time, and in the usual tradition of "St Mary's Christmas chaos"...........Characters consistent with previous books, and the same light tone.

If you're a fan of the series this is just more of the same, and as a give-away from audible, you may as well download and enjoy it.

Love that Jodi gives us a festive treat 😀 may St Mary's continue for many years to come. ( whilst awaiting the next book I'm going back to the beginning).

Jolly adventure

Just love st Mary's, it never disappoints

Zara Ramm brings life and humour to the superb writing of Jodi Taylor. They should teach history at school like this!

Another enjoyable slice of St Mary's chaos

Short but very well written - and well narrated. Loved it! I can't wait for the next instalment, which will hopefully be full length.

brilliant

I just love the St Mary's books and this one was just as good as the previous ones. They really cheer you up when you're feeling down.

I wanted it to carry on!!

I love the series and the fact that Jodie gives her .5 books out for free is extremely generous.
I have read this book out of sequence so there were some major spoilers in it and to be honest I was a bit baffled by the time line but it wasn't a major issue. The story itself was full of the usual fun, frolics, angst and mayhem.
A thoroughly good listen and expertly read by Zara Ramm.

good listen

What made the experience of listening to Ships and Stings and Wedding Rings the most enjoyable?

As always this is a good listen. The story is easy to follow

What did you like best about this story?

It is full of the people that are in the rest of the books and it is good to hear how they manage to get from one problem to the next and nearly alaways come out in one peice.

What does Zara Ramm bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

I have goy nearly all Jodi Taylor's St Marys books and it is good to have the same voice to listen to.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

As always this book made me laugh. There are some moments in the other books that bring a tear to my eye but not this time

Great fun!

Have just discovered Jodi Taylor and her Chronicles of St Mary's - started off with the short stories and can't wait to read more of these. Not my usual choice of book but thoroughly enjoyable and I'm very glad I tried them. A fun fast paced story with good narration.
