While I appreciated the author's world-building and attention to detail, I found the characters a bit flat and the story predictable. The narrator was decent, but didn't add much to the experience. Overall, a decent listen, but not one I'd recommend over other fantasy audiobooks out there.

Amazing narration from Randy McCarten. He brings out the action, pace, suspense and characters. A great
voice to listen too. This is a fast paced, book with plenty of action and
suspense FBI Agent Michael Cavanaugh is in charge of a task force to bring down a drug and human trafficking operation that is across multiple states. Bill Thompson, was a Army Special Forces operator, who is now an FBI Agent. Bill has been after this human trafficking gang,
for a long time. This a great thriller, I was hooked from the start. Highly recommend
