Sherlock Holmes: The Christmas Rose
- Narrated by: M. G. Willis
- Length: 1 hr and 15 mins
- Categories: Mystery, Thriller & Suspense, Mystery
Summary
Sherlock Holmes suggests a vacation to Watson.
They travel to Switzerland to relax and share the holidays with friends.
Watson suddenly disappears on Christmas Eve.
There are strange sightings...a pear tree blocking the sidewalk of a home, dancing lords, singing maidens, cows with ringing bells, a partridge in London’s Bentley Park...and it just gets more and more mysterious as Christmas approaches and Watson still remains lost to his friends.
Now begins a Christmas fantasy filled with memorable events, revelations, and magic that goes beyond that of the magician Harry Houdini to something so pure that no one can discover its origins. But if they don't, no one can be sure if they'll ever find Watson.

The strangest Sherlock Holmes pastiche ever
This is, without a doubt, the very strangest Sherlock Holmes pastiche I have ever heard. it is an alternate universe mash-up of "Sherlock Holmes," "A Christmas Carol," Santa Claus legends and popular Christmas carols. It is not quite fantasy, sci-fi and not really detective novel. it is, in its own way, an homage to all of the aforementioned genres and works. I doubt a Holmes purist will like it, but listened to with an open mind it is pleasant. In the end, however, I was glad it was over.
