Lord of the Flies meets And Then There Were None...but with Instagram and too much Prosecco.

THIS IS THE HEN DO TO END ALL HEN DOS. AND YOU'RE INVITED...

Poppy Greer is getting married and four of her old schoolmates are to be her trusted bridesmaids. They may have drifted but true friendships last a lifetime, don't they? Plus, who would pass on a free first-class ticket to white sands and bottomless cocktails on a private Caribbean island?

But the women have underestimated their host, and each other. And as their darkest secrets are revealed, the trip of their dreams becomes the hen do from hell.

Will anyone make it off the island alive?

The perfect summer read
An intensely compelling and clever tale of revenge

I really enjoyed this book. I agree with other reviews that it is a bit far fetched, however it’s an easy listen. I found myself listening at every moment I got and finished the book quickly. The ending comes to a halt, but I overall enjoyed this book and would recommend the read.

Mean girls stay mean women, revenge which was totally improbable - and the ending didn’t reach a conclusion at all - not for me

Far too far fetched!

Took me a few chapters to get hooked but once I was in I was addicted. Brilliant twist at the end. Although I accidentally saw the name of the last chapter and unfortunately figured the plot twist out before the end. Oh well!

Thrilling

The story certainly bowled along. 4 ‘mean’ girls making life a misery for another pupil. Revenge plot a bit farfetched but the ‘mean’ girls were so awful and continued to be awful in adulthood. Not sure school wouldn’t have dealt with bullies but who knows.
The ‘victim’ invites them to a private island for a hen do. Can’t say much more in case of spoilers.

Would it really happen?
