I love that we finally get Ethan's book and he finally gets his HEA. He has given so much to his family, to others and to his job, it is beautiful to see him get his forever with a woman just as strong and stubborn as he is! Abbie's life has always been complicated, but the secrets and conspiracies that surround her, her past and her father mean that she and Ethan cannot catch a break as they investigate and try to piece together who is targeting her.
It's dark, twisted and haunting, and the truth is definitely unexpected when they finally uncover it. But the home they create with Zeus and Derek is heartwarming, packed with love and with hope.
It was great to see Police Chief Mike fully back to his job and I look forward to Ronnie's book - which I hope we get soon.
I downloaded this on Kindle Unlimited which allowed me to listen on Audible for free. Each book in this series could be read as a standalone, but I think they are more enjoyable if read/listened to in order, you get a better sense of the community and support cast as the series unfolds.
