About this listen

"After a moment she inched back. Something had moved, out there in the dark. Something thin and pale.'"

Shadows at the Door Publishing brings you 13 chilling tales inspired by the ghastly, the ghoulish, and the macabre. Landmarks stained in death, spectres lurking outside, old legends rising from the dark, these stories bring unique and chilling horrors from around the world. Immerse yourself in the eerie locales of Durham, Norfolk, Derbyshire, Rugby, the Scottish Highlands, Montreal, Pennsylvania, New York, Lake Superior, Rural Yorkshire, East Sussex, and the darker corners of southern England.

So dim the lights, pull up a chair by the fire, but keep one eye on the shadows at the door.

'Shadows at the door' is an anthology that has a dark thread running through its black heart. The stories all fit remarkably well together with the same 'fear of the unknown' vibe. It is very well produced, the narration is generally very good and it's just the right length. Fantastic and surprising.

Fantastic collection of dark stories

I really enjoyed this audiobook. The stories were well-written and varied enough to keep things interesting. The narration was good but i have to give a special mention to the score, subtle enough to not distract from the narration but beautifully done. The whole thing is beautifully produced; i listen to a lot of audiobooks and this could be the most spine tinglingly atmospheric i've come across. Highly recommended

a quality anthology!
