A vicious magical attack on a street gang isn’t a case paranormal PI Jimmy Kincaid would normally pick up. I really like the Shadowrun genre and was so pleased to see that books from this setting were appearing on Audible. Although I enjoyed the story, I only managed to listen up to chapter 8 before the reader's voice became too much for me. It was certainly a performance - plenty of grunts and growling but it was too much for me.

If you enjoy over-the-top grunts and growls then you will enjoy the book. If you prefer a more mellow and subdued narrative then stay away.

Sadly I couldn't listen to it beyond chapter 8 - sorry 😥😥😥
